On the Bbox goals note. The goals were set up for Caruso, who left the team.
Also, the former team was named Team NVidia, not NVideo.
And it's now Bbox - Bouygoues Télécom.
Nice reviews. Hopefully, I'll at least get some wins by attacking.

Great preview, I may try one of my own, although probably in much less depth

I'm writing a preview for the PT atm, don't know if you are also doing that? I can tell that I'm 6 teams down, so hopefully it will be up tomorrow or the day after that :-)
Best be kind to Auber
Of course. It's a really cool team :-)

Agreed - I would be interested to see other previews. I will not be writing a ProTour one, but will be interested to see one.
Written 5 of 12 previews for the new teams, should be ready later this evening. There is a little thing called the Ronde to watch |

Nice preview Smowz
I remember that my team was rated last season 15th by SotD and I finished 22nd, so if I could get into the top 10 I think my team is will be 8th-15th this year
I will never ever doing again a team like LEGO last season

Okay the final installment is up, I had a go at predicting the rankings though with the Continental Tour it is incredably difficult to say, in particular lower down the order.
Sorry to those that I have given a little bit of bashing feel free to tell me how average Red Bull Cycling is (hey they are!) |

I think you are giving a little more prevalence to having one or two good riders than to a complete squad. I have 5-6 guys who can provide me with points. Will I win many overall races? Probably not, but I should get a lot of good stage results and hopefully some race top 5's and 10's. Do I think I'll promote? No. Do I think I'll do better than 23rd? Definitely. |

I think I'll end up in the mid 10s, top 20s at best. A 7th place for me would be quite shocking. Nice previews though.

Rankings predictions
Here goes
1. Santander
2. Ikea
3. Wiggle
4. UBS
5. 100% Me
6. Youtube Twitter
7. Bbox Bouyges Telecom
8. Cillit Bang (blah blah)
9. Pokerstars.com
10. Sport Lisboa
11. Quiksilver Kraft
12. Intesa
13. Pendletons Twicer
14. Team LEGO
15. Vespa Caffreys
16. Petronas Olympus
17. Tinkoff Credit Systems
18. Bacardi Colt
19. Milka
20. Telenor SAS
21. Mercedes Benz
22. Bimbo Nutella
23. El Al PDS
24. Highroad
25. Pirelli
26. Red Bull Cycling
27. Falcon Husqvarna
28. Unicredit
29. Yamaha Greenpeace
I don't expect Vespa to Top 5 it this season, but if we miss out on the Top 10 I'd be a little surprised. I haven't discounted doing better than last season either after learning quite a few things last time out and having just finished my race selections I'm fairly optimistic of a decent placing.
I would back IKEA for the top spot based on their team, but then again they had one of the better squads in the CT last year, so this time, I'm going to back Wiggle for the top spot. 100% ME also I think will do very well again and finish higher than 5th. Good preview though. |

Of your Top 10:
Youtube, Bbox and particularly Pokerstars and SL Benfica will struggle to achieve it.
And Id be surprised if Lego and Vespa miss out on a Top 10 this year.

Of course, if I have a lot of luck (which I won't), my break aways may lead to sucsess after sucsess. But that is highly unlikely. So I put myself (Bbox) somewhere between 14th and 22nd.

Nice preview. Must have taken alot of time.
One thing though, when did i ever say Ricco would give me promotion? I left my promotion goal for what it was after a few days in the transfers. I do think my French part of the team might get some points togheter with my Lithuanians and Latvian rider(s). My position in the CT ranking is realistic, maybe a bit higher, as i compare my line-up a bit with Santander last year.
Anyone with some wild guesses on Individual Rankings for the CT?

I would love to come first, but anywhere in the top 5 would suit me nicely.
As for the individual, I back Ricco to follow in alverdes footsteps.
Taaramae to hold off Ignatiev for 2nd.

It's a fantastic preview, but I don't think the prediction is any way near correct, but I wasn't able to get it right by any means last year either :-)
There are so many races in the CT that the tactical input of the manager in charge have a very big impact on the point scoring. We have seen that every season. The likes of climbing talent seem to be more in the zone in the CT, so if you have a rider like Duarte with 80MO and 75TT he would do really well in the CT while he will struggle to get a single top 10 in the PT.
If the manager choses the races carefully then a halfbad lineup could easily fit into the top 15 ahead of several stronger teams.
I'll come with my guesses once I get back from my GF's later today, based on your preview and my own readings from the DB. Not to contradict yours but as a supplement
You have done a really great job btw.
