Remember Ricco's girlfriend (and mother of his child), who he dumped after she, a cyclocross racer, tested positive for CERA?
Well, her B-sample came back clean.

There are also reports that they got back together.
Feel sorry for Rossi.

I would not want a girl where Ricco has been in.
You might just test positive in your next sport contest after that! With the amount of dope Ricco' takes it leaves traces over everyone he has physically connected with |

Seems life is really ganging up on Ricco at the moment.
If only he'd stood by her, he'd actually be looking good for the first in ages at the moment. |

Not really. Notice the official press release. CERA was found in the B sample. Just not enough to consider the test positive.

In other news, Zirbel has been suspended for two years for taking/not taking DHEA.
“Nothing has really changed: I will still continue to have testing done to try and figure out how this all happened in the first place and I still won't be racing. The only difference is that by accepting this sanction, I may actually gain a little credibility with USADA. I really am trying to work with them so we can make sure this doesn't happen again."
“And if I can walk away from racing forever, maybe people will be more willing to listen when they know I have nothing to gain personally. I'm not lobbying for change to save my own career, I'm lobbying for change to save the next clean athlete's career. In the meantime, I may actually be able to move on with my life and start this next chapter that I've talked about.” |

Floyd did the same and he's guilty, so Zirbel's not really "proving" anything.

Theres just something about Zirbel that makes me beleive him when he says he's innocent. And the fact he says he's not trying to turn around his career he just wants to save the next innocent riders career makes me belive him. Of course IF he starts riding again I will lose that beleivingness (if thats a word).

Lampre says Lorenzo Bernucci didn't start today because he has a temperature.
Lies aside, the real story is that the drug police raided his house and found unnammed products.
In other news, Breschel's getting impatient since Saxo Bank hasn't offered him a contract renewal. Financial troubles, etc.

What I read about Breschel is that he is waiting to sign a contract untill after the classics in order to improve his market value.
