Vanendert on, say, 65 fitness would do just as good a job, as the rest of the teams will be out of shape as well. Or Vaugrenard. I'd save Gilbert's race days for more important races where there are more points to be earnt.
Thanks that's a great idea. I had never really thought of Vanendert or Vaugrenard but know I'm thinking that's a better choice than Gilbert. |

Tour Down Under Stage 1
Today we will try to get as many as possible in the break. KOM are what we are looking for and by the end of the TDU we hope to win that category.
The race started off nice and slow so many riders attacked. They were brought back very soon but at the same moment they had been caught Jussi Veikanen decides that he'll try his luck.
He went right by those riders and was all alone. He stayed alone for over 20km before our team decided to send another rider to go with him so Coppel went.
Veikanen got the KOM points in front of Coppel but look at all those camera men amazing this race is getting more popular every year.
BAd news as Veikanen and Coppel decided t owait for the peloton since the gap was about 1:02 with over 30km to go.
But then Cancellara Hoste Florencio and Hammond all attacked so we sent Vanendert with them.
But it wasn't enough as the peloton brought them back with just over 8km to go.
Chavanel was feeling very bad today so we knew there would be no chance of a sprint win and so we watched the rest of the teams make trains and we just put Vaugrenard on the back of one and basicaly just sat there.
Boonen Just overpowered everyone today and we could see much of the same tommorow.

Stage 3
Team Meeting: Try and get KOM is our goal for today. Stage win from the break would be nice too.
Here is the BOTD
Veikannen gor KOM points today and will be wearing the KOM jersey tommorow.
On the final climb of the day Vanendert attacked trying to protect Veikanen's KOm points. But he ran out of energy.
Freire also countered and he got a huge gap of 1 minute to the pack with only 10km to go.
Will the main group pull him back..........
No Freire wins.

Stage4 TDU
Our team is going to wait and see today. We might send a rider in the break or have a rider attack towards the finish. The hill near the end of the race is a perfect place to launch an attack for someone loike Veikkanen.
Here is the BOTD. They got about 5 minutes on the peloton but the pack was working to pull them back all day. Rollin was the rider with the best chance of victory in the break if the break made it all the way to the finish.
On the final climb Jelle Vanendert decided to let an attack go! He caught up to the breakaway but Devolder was hot on his tail. With 90m to go till the line Devolder passed Jelle to take the most KOM points.
Devolder was not interested in going with Vanendert for the final 40km so Vanendert was all alone. He told us before the stage that he felt good so maybe today was his day?
Unfortunately Vanendert was caught by the main group with just under 12km to go. It was anybodies race now! Some of the stronger sprinting teams like MIlram, Quickstep and Rabobank had started to put together trains for the sprint.
The sprint began and Vaugrenard had a good position aswell as Veikkanen.
With 1.5km to the line Boonen had the lead. Freire was right there and Zabel was just behind Vaugrenard. The big question was where is Chavanel the sprinter he hasn't had any good results yet and it seems that he can't keep up with the high pace near the ends of the stages.
Boonen wins today! He coasted the last 500 metres and didn't have to sprint too hard after he had gotte na bit of a lead. A disapointing stage since 2 of our sprinters didn't show up t othe sprint in the first place. But on the positive side of things Vaugrenard and Veikkanen both had good stages and it seemed that Vanendert was testing his legs out for tommorow. The stage that will make or break this years GC.

Thanks alot. I hope you like it better. Does anyone know if having less disk space on your C drive slows down pcm or stops it from playing higher graphical db's? It almost seems thats what has happenened to me cause I cant play stages with a high equipment db (08 equipment db being the final cut-off before it's almost unplayable).
Edit: Sorry if anyone saw that bad type about disk space.
