Next will be an update about all the happenings in Kuurne-Burssel-Kuurne and Paris-Nice and a story about Ronde van het Groene Hart, because this is a sponsor goal!

Here you can see the results we’ve made in the month March, there were some goals for us on the roster. Like, GP Chiasso in Switzerland and the Ronde van het Groene Hart in the Netherlands. Then we had Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, one of the favorite races for leader of our squad, Björn Leukemans. He would be delighted finishing in the top 10 in one of Belgium’s classics. We also got invited for Paris-Nice, we had send a team of strong riders with Bozic for a stage win and Hoogerland for the General Classification. What will it be, further on you can read about it!

What a race! Björn really trained for this goal, he had a condition of 87. Well he also felt good during the race he told me with a +3 form of the day. Everything went well and it was a quite race, no attacks in the first 100k, then the first hill’s came and Björn was really strong. Cooke, Traksel and Vierhouten were still in the same group to help Leukemans out. With 45k to go Leukemans was pulling the pack forward and a lot strong riders were suffering, Nuyens almost had to let go and Flecha already did. But just on the top of the Camelberg, Björn had a flat tire! This was horrible, he was so strong but lost contact with the first group. Luckely they were still out of breath and Leukemans came back with the help of his teammates Traksel and Vierhouten. The first hill Leukemans pulled himself to the front, angry of his flat tire he rides the cobbles out of the street. The group of 40 riders was cracking in his wheel. Van Avermaet and Cancellara were the first big drop offs. When Björn was on the flat after the downhill he looked back and so the babyface of Tom Boonen and the big german Marcus Burghardt. This were defiantly the 3 strongest riders of the day! But he had to loose Boonen if he wanted to win, but he couldn’t, after a few attacks of Marcus and also Björn it was always Boonen who came back. Björn placed himself in the wheel of Boonen hoping for the most success he could probably reach, second please, and he did! The team did a great job today!

I’ve never seen a weird race like this, one day Kirchen was unbeatable, the other day he lost 2 minutes. One day Valverde was unbeatable, the other day he lost over a minute. The same for Sastre and Pellizotti. Johnny did a great job by riding top 15 in all the difficult stages. He also won the white jersey for best young rider. Zabriskie won Paris-Nice because the pack gave him almost 9 minutes advantage, with Vogondy, on the last stage, really weird of Cervelo and Columbia. But they said that we should have helped to, well not negative about our riders but it’s a different level we’re talking about! As said, good job of “Hooligan!” and maybe future Vacansoleil rider, Brice Feillu who won the mountain jersey!

Not much to tell you about actually, there was a breakaway with Wouter Mol putting a lot of effort in it. But they got caught easily. The with 9k to go it was Bobbie Traksel who attacked but nobody could follow, he soon had a gap of 1.30’ and the last kilometer he did a easy pace on the cobbled uphill section. Look at the photograph in the picture next morning! Mss. Traksel was really delighted, maybe her husband still has a job next year! Just kidding…
A race in the middle of the Netherlands to promote the green nature around it, when you translate the name it should say “Tour of the Green Hearth”! It is sponsored by Campina, that’s a company who produces milk and products in that category. The finish line is in front of the Headquarters of Campina on an industrial terrain in Leiden. It’s a 1.1 race which first race was in 2007, when the Belgium sprinter Wouter Weylandt won the race. Back then it was very windy with a very small group which made it to the finish line. Because this is one of the few races which is completely live at the Dutch television, our sponsor ones us to ride top 5! Since we have a lot of flat riders who like to suffer in the wind, that should be possible!
2007 1 Wouter Weylandt 2 Graeme Brown 3 Greg Van Avermaet
2008 1 Thomas Vaitkus 2 Wouter Weylandt 3 Bobbie Traksel
Profile of the race
Completely flat over more then 200k’s
Events during the race
None, this one is as flat as a pancake!
Here are the favorites for today;
B. Bozic (VAC), K. van Hummel (SKL), J. Casper (BCS) Marco Marcato (VAC), R. Hasselbacher (VCC), F. Rodriguez (RRT)
A. Kemps (RRT), D. de Fauw (TSP) (r.i.p.), J. Tombak (CCB)
Forgot the startlist! I’m truely sorry…
The riders are waiting for the start on in Leiden!
The first attackers, Rooijakkers, Sinner, Renders, Nankervis, Talabardon, Van Amerongen, Wynants, Sielder and Meirhaeghe. But the pack doesn’t like this breakaway and is trying to reel them in as soon as possible. Only Sinner stayed in front, boy was he stupid…
Here you see Sinner, riding all alone with still 180k’s to go and a opposite wind of constantly more then 60k’s per hour!
Skil-Billies are pulling the pack forward, the gap is now 7.50’ with 100k’s to go…
Attack, it was De Groot who wanted to show the Rabobank for Dutch Television. Following him are Glomser, Vandenbroucke (r.i.p.), Van de Walle, Maes and again Van Amerongen. I told him to follow every attack, just to make sure we can control every group. We just want to ride top 5 on this one! Only De Groot and Vandenbroucke stayed in front.
This why it is so windy, the sea…
Sinner was caught by the peloton and only Vandenbroucke and De Groot were in front. They had 30 k’s to go with 1.26’ left. But then came my team, I pulled the pack trough the wind and the peloton was cracking in every bone. It were Mouris and Mol who were riding there guts off for there teammates. Only 40’ with 20 k’s to go…
With 10 k’s to go the peloton was shaking! There were only 9 guys who could follow the hard pace of Mol and Mouris!
When the tanks of those two were empty they caught the two leaders and now it was time for Aart Vierhouten. He was riding like hell with speeds up to 48 with this wind! The train was as follows, Vierhouten, Marcato, Bozic, Van Hummel, Glomser, Veelers, Casper, Hasselbacher and Rodriguez. But Glomser let a small gap, he was already tired of trying to get away. He also is not a sprinter!
These are the first 15 riders, here you have a nice look of the damage that our team has done. I’m really proud of it, I just hope that Borut can finish the job. It looks like he only has to deal with Kenny “Kamikaze” van Hummel now!
Marco takes over from Aart, Borut is really focused and concentrating on his Italian teammates back wheel…
With only 1k to go Van Hummel lost the back wheel a bit of Bozic, is this the moment?
Borut flew around Marco to the finish line, Van Hummel didn’t stand a chance actually. Marco was really happy with the win and also became second himself! The team did a great job…
Another “overall” shot of the damage which Vacansoleil has done. There were riders everywhere but most of them got the same time, but it’s just a one-day-classic so that didn’t really matter. We are glad that Bozic putted the cherry on the pie! It was also is first victory!

Nice you make a story of PCM07! Also very nice written!!
Keep it up!
Btw: We are also creating a new database for PCM07 for the 2010 season. With better stats and graphics ... stats are checked for every single rider in Database. I agree, it's a lot of work ... but I got time for the stats. (+ team objectives are adjusted too) Maybe when you download it ... you can make a 2010 story. No obligation! But it's nice you do this !!!
Thanks guys! It's that you were interested, thats why I write! My computer had some issues and the system is rewind to 2 days. That sucks because I lost a lot of info! I already raced the National Championships! So my next update wil include a few months! No screens then, but I will make it nice
Need HELP!
I want some new shirts in my DB. Is this possible in a saved game? And how can I save a shirt like this on my computer;
from what iv'e heard 07 is quite diferrent than 08 and 09 but I think there are jerseys in pcm 07 graphics and then choose a jersey replaceit over the team you want to give the new jersey to in Cm textures.
Well, here are the results from April till 1st of September, as I said my computer crashed and I had to set it a few days back. I lost some info but I’ll write it down for you in small pieces! I’m going to write on date so their will not only be results, but also some news and inside information! In the results I will display the winner and our best man!

Baden after the last time-trial;
“Well Baden, what is your feeling after finishing on the market in Koksijde? Pretty good actually, it was disappointing that I could ride top 10 but I’m glad I stood on the podium the second stage. And what are you expectations for the seasoning further on. My goal is riding top 10 in Paris-Roubaix, my dream is to stand there on the podium but I know that won’t happen with guys like Ballan, Boonen, Cancellara and Pozzatto! Thank you Baden, go and have a quick shower, it’s pretty could here because of the hard wind.”

“Gerben tell the viewers all about your first victory this season. Well it was a hard one, I can tell you! I was in the breakaway with 4 others, Kux was there and I knew he was the best sprinter so I had to attack some more, I did, and got away! How did you feel during the race? Good, but I didn’t think I had the legs to finish this race on the top spot of the podium. We had a good team meeting, a few guys could go in the breakaway, but our main man was Borut. But I was in the break so the team didn’t had to ride it’s guts of for the sprint. It was a goal from our sponsor to do great here… Oh, Gerben is pulled away by a manager here, he has to go to the podium. That’s it for now, over to you Mike in the Studio…”

No, I didn’t had the right legs for it, I was glad that I could help Baden the last 20 k’s, I’m going to the shower man. I’m shaking from those f*cking cobbles… Well viewers, I will not repeat that sentence but it shows how hard the French roads can be…”

“Boh, that was heavy!Hello viewers I’m standing next to Johnny Hoogerland. One of the leaders of Vacansoleil, Johnny how was it riding at “home”?That was very cool, my name was painted on the road everywhere, people were shouting my name, wouldn’t missed for anything else!And how did the race go? It was good but not what I had hoped for, Björn told me he would help me out any time but with 30k’s to go I felt he was better the me so I helped him. That teamwork huh, but still you became second of the first big group of 12 riders.During the last 10k’s I could hope for it, but never imagine[/u]Well Johnny, thanks for your time![i]Your welcome! Can I thank my fans?[/u]No, you can’t Johnny… I’m kidding, well viewers, the last words today are not mine but Johnny’s! [i] I just want to thank everybody who was shouting next to the road! Hope you join me in Liege-Bastogne-Liege, that one suits me better!

“Here he comes, just 20 years hold, Wout Poels. Wout tell us about your first professional victory!” It was just amazing! I was in the breakaway of 24 but it was a hilly road with a few steep hills and I didn’t have to go full throttle any moment. The last climb I took off but there were no real hill or mountain riders in the breakaway. A lot of sprinter actually!Well Wout, you have done a great job. What did your manager, Tom Boveree, told you before the race? That I could be in a breakaway today, because of the hilly roads he said. He also said that I could make it to the end with a few others, but I just thought he was joking! Untill he told me with 60k’s to go, that we still had a gap of over 15 minutes. Well I have to go to the podium now! ThanksNo thank you Wout!”

Milano – The only 18 year old, italian super talent Sammuel Bongiorni was in contact with some big teams like Saxo Bank, Caisse d’Epargne and Vacansoleil when yesterday the news arriverd that Bongiorni used Dynepo during March from this year. Sammuel is suspended for probably 2 years by the Italian CONI.
In the last K, Bozic is in the wheel of Brajkovic, look were Jannes (4th) is now!
“Borut, how does it feel to extend your jersey?” What joe say? My inglis is not good To keep the Slovenian jersey, how does that feel?Oh very good yes, I like it, was not hard to sprint out Brajkovic. He is no sprinter so beat him wit five cycles. Some year is harder Well Borut, thank you for you’re wonderfull interview. Back to Mike in the studio, Mike did you entitled it…
“Well Thomas, here we have some more Transer news for you!
Astana has found some money behind a mountain there in Kazachstan, they signed two new riders but no newby’s. Their names, Cadel Evans and Michael Rasmussen. Thats weird because Cadel is anti-doping and Michael isn’t a shame of a needle. The Danish doping-dog was accused for Cera but always said he was innocent. Well, it looks like Contador has two new friends. Next year they might have a super team when Vinokourov and Kasheskin return. They might sign Ricco, the Cobra!”
“Dutch news then, old German stage racer Andreas Klöden is riding for the Dutch banking formation next year. He signed a contract for two years as a major helper for the Russian Menchov and their biggest talent Robert Gesink. Speaking about talents, the Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team tried to sign young climber Rob Ruijgh, but they were disappointed when the bigger Dutch team Rabobank out bid them and Ruijgh choose for the money. It looks like Vacansoleil is not catching a big fish like they wanted this season.”
There is a lot going on at the transfer market right now, here you will see the biggest transfers;
Vandevelde to Katusha
Klöden to Rabobank
Backstedt to Liquigas
Evans tot Astana
M. Rasmussen to Astana
Ruijgh to Rabobank Hermans to Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team Young talent (20y), he is a talent for the northern classics with a strong time trial (70)
Van Leijen to Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team Young talent (23y), this guy is a real attacker (81) and will be a good help for the future.
Vanspeybroucke to Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team Young talent (21), like Hermans a northern classic rider and loves the cobbles (71).
Artiaco to Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team Young talent (19), found by one of my best scouts, this Italian boy is a real climber (69!)
Ghislaberti to Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team Protected Teammate, Sergio might win some but is also a good help for Johnny.
Pagoto to Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team Young Talent, this hill rider (72) was already pro for a few years but never broke through, maybe now!Edited by Tombola on 03-02-2010 16:12
