Tour de San Luis
Stage 4- San Luis to La Carolina
Today's stage will be trying to stay with our rivals.
The Breakaway, today's break was a big group of around 15 riders, this had potential to stay away but we wanted to get a win for Duque.
Our team control the pace on the front of the peleton, also we controlled the gap to the break.
At the summit of the final climb and the peleton splits, all the main GC riders are in the front group, more importantly so is the yellow jersey Moncoutie.
Sprint finish, the fastest rider in the group was Duque but we mis timed the sprint, Ratti 1st Scarponi 2nd and Duque 3rd.
Stage Result:
GC:
KOM:
Points:
We wanted the stage win today, rather dissapointed but we still hold the yellow jersey and green jersey. |

Tour de San Luis
Stage 5- San Francisco Del Mote De Oro to Merlo
Kern was out front in a lone breakaway, he got pulled back fairly quickly.
Pace shared at the front on the peleton.
After Kern was brought back, we decided to send Demoulin into the next break of 8 riders. this break was ruined because Scarponi and Bertagnolli along with a few other riders joined this forced my riders on the front of the peleton to try and pull it back.
Next Moncoutie decides he needs to attack.
Gaps between the groups.
Lead group of favourites, with Moncoutie clinging on at the back.
Finish and a surprise win for Duque with Scarponi 2nd and Bertagnolli 3rd.
Stage result:
GC:
KOM:
Points:
Moncoutie lost 37 seconds on todays stage but still well out in front on GC.

Tour de San Luis
Stage 6- Potrero De Los Funes
A circuit for today's stage, We aim to be agressive again and get someone in the break.
The Breakaway, we decided today that Demoulin was the right man for the break today, but he couldn't cope witht he pace and dropped back to the peleton.
Sprint finish, Duque was dissapointing and didn't have the energy to win the stage he came 3rd .
Stage result:

Decent stage for us today, would of liked a win though.

Hopefully we can take a stage win with Duque.
The Breakaway with Julien El Fares.
El Fares is the last of the breakaway.
Finish
El Fares manages to stay away and take the stage.
Ginnani wins the sprint for 2nd Duque has a very poor sprint and didn't feature.

A decent stage for our team.
Overall a very good first Tour for our team 1st and 2nd on GC, green jersey winner and a few stage wins, massive help in our push back to pro tour.
Next race is the first one day classic of the season down on the french meditterean in the wonderful town and countryside of Marseille. |

Grand Prix de Marseille
Im hoping for at least a top 5, but we will try to get someone into the break and hope it stays away.
Cofidis team:
The Breakaway, there was a group of around 4 riders up ahead with our man Taaramae, these 2 groups joined together and started workin together very well.
Moinard attacks after all the main favourites attack, but it was too late, he couldn't close the gaps.
Roche and Taaramae out front.
Finish
It's a win for Verheyen, Taaramae was in the front group and came 21st, he didn't have the energy to sprint.
Result:
Dissapointing result for our team but we did get a man in the break.
Next race Etoile De Besseges, this race will be used as a warm up for the Tour of Mediteranean, which is one of our goals to get stage wins.
Also this month we have sent our applictation for a wild card for the Paris- Nice, hopefully they will accept and we can show our quality on the world stage once again.
Vital Moment in the life of the Cofidis manager 30th January 2010
I was offered to manager the Great Britain team or France team for the World Championships, I decided that my country needed me and accepted the Great Britain role, Im looking forward to working with the riders. |

Etoile De Besseges
Stage 1- Bellegarde to Le Grau du Roi
Cofidis Team:
S.Auge
R.Taaramae
G.Blot
K.Ista
N.Sijmens
R.Pauriol
D.Moiner
J.Fouchard
Hopefully we can get a top 10 placing with our sprinter Sijmens. We are hoping also to continue our attacking style and get a rider into the break.
The breakaway, was a very large group of 14 riders including Stephane Auge.
After all the effort to stay away the final 3 riders were swept up by the peleton with 10km ro go.
Sprint finish and a win for Neyens with Van Hummel 2nd and Hutarovich 3rd. Our man Sijmens finished 9th, ran out of energy towards the line after following Van Hummels wheel.
Stage Result:
Good stage for us today, was always going to be hard to get near the win with Sijmens. |

Etoile De Besseges
Stage 2- Nimes to Saint Ambroix
Hopefully we can be attacking again today and get a rider into the break
No breakway today, but plenty of small groups tried to get away, we also tried with Ista and Blot but all were unsuccesful. The pace at the front of the peleton was very high all day.
Down to the sprint finish, Sijmens turned in a poor sprint for us and didn't finish in the top 20, it was a win for Amorison with Veelers 2nd and Kocjan 3rd.
Stage Result:
KOM:
Points:
Poor stage today, our team didn't feature at all in the sprint. |

Etoile Des Besseges
Stage 3- Branoux Les Tailades to Le Grande Combe
Sorry I have lost the screenshots of the race.
Heavy winds prevented any attacks staying away. A few favourites went away on the last climb, Tarramae was involved.
Finish:
Taarmae finished 6t, top 3, 1st De Waele, 2nd Mombaerts 3rd Joly.
Taarame couldnt keep up with the guys at the front and dropped off towards the end.

Guys what do you think:
Continue with Cofidis or Pro tour team, to tell you the truth I'm not enjoying the continetal races and teams, I prefer the big teams and pro tour races.
But what do you guys think, if yous are enjoying this story I will continue it. |
