Skinsuits are normal in crits as far as I'm concerned.Might as well use them.around here everyone who has a skin suit uses it.

i think that skinsuits are not so strange in short races. looking the u19 class nearly the half of the riders (me included) wears one...maybe because the don´t need to carry anything to eat
More a case of "no need for restroom breaks". Perfectly normal for criteriums and time trials.

Cancer-council classic all over:
One-two for Team Sky! Nice win by Henderson and good second place for Sutton, McEwen in third.
It's an impressive start for team Sky - a sign of things to come?
Funny. I remember people asking that last year after McEwen won this race and him and Steegmans got a 1-2 shortly afterwards.
There's a lesson in there somewhere
EDIT: Just saw the highlights. Columbia screwed up and left Greipel to sprint with 500m to go....needless to say the two sky riders were laughing all the way in his wheel
You know, when I was typing that yesterday morning I was thinking it could be Katusha all over again...I would argue that Sky's sprinters aren't even of the quality of McEwen (well, last January, anyway) and Steegmans. On face value, it may seem like Sky won't haul in win after win, but their "fresh" approach may provide more success than otherwise expected.

Does anybody know if Eurosport will cover TDU?
All i can see in the guide is that program called Planet Armstrong every day at 20:00. |

I doubt that Eurosport has the rights. They may do in some countries, but in Denmark, they don't (TV 2 Sport has them). |

There has to be an amusing subplot at every race.. and the Tour Down Under's comes in the form of: Operation: Support obscure TDU rider
So the Aussy fans decided to support a random rider who is unknown. Criteria:
-Probably won't get a TDF slot
-Most likely minimum wage and fetches bottles for his team
-Non-English speaking
He gets cheered by the fans in his native language, gets mobbed at hotels, sending gifts, writing his name on the roads etc.
So, who have they picked?
107. Arthur Vichot FRA - FDJ
On tomorrows route:

Anyone knows why Stauff didnt start the Down Under Classics?
He was supposed to be the sprint captain for Tour Down Under. |

SO, the Australian radio commentary listed his career highlights as:
2nd, The Austrian Championship - Individual Time Trial and
1st, Moutains competition in Tour de Luxembourg (2.HC)
and decided that he was a Voigt type rider
