Sorry, couldn't resist playing on the Yorkshire stereotype.
On a side Yorkshire stereotype note, when the floods occurred in Yorkshire, the BBC interviewed the most stereotypical Yorkshireman ever - he went on about how these floods were nothing like the floods of 1834, and that the community spirit was just like t'war

I Train with and race with a Juniors Cycling ZDevelopment Team. A couple of the Alumni Riders Include Pros Nathan Miller and Steve Cozza. My coach has 250+ carreer wins and like to pretend she is 23. She tells people she is 23 and I say "Bullsh*t!" She is a good coach.
On my team There are about 25 names on the roster butabout 7-8 of them are regulars like me.I think there is only one girl but she is the reigning 13-14 US national Crit and Road Race champion (2nd in the TT) 3 of the regulars are about to lose their Juniorship and at least one of them is going pro. Al three work at local bike shops. The rider my age are all better than me. one is so fast he is able to keep up with the pros at cat 1 races. The otehr is an excellent sprinter. Due to my broader shoulders and the fact the climbs hate me (but i love the climbs) I have a lot of power and am a good lead out for my teamates. I love the wind since we get it nonstop all year around here. I'm best in the crits and flatter road races but there are a lot of climbs around here wich i ride all the time cause i figure i have to improve.
That is about it. The atmosphere for cyclists aroun here is great and is only improving thanks to Levi, Freddy, Chris, and countless other pros that live around here. Special thanks to Levi Freddy and Chris for helping sponsor the team as well. Buy fast freddy coffee its good for you. |
