Tour of Qatar
Here we are in Qatar for the start of the season. This 6 day stage race consists of 1 short TTT and 5 flat stages. We have sent a team with Bennati as leader. He isn't in great form, but hopefully he can win at least one stage here. As main helpers we have Ballan and Baldato.
Stage 1
The first stage is the TTT and with our weak team the main goal is to keep the loses. Sadly we failed and ended last on the stage. It was won by Gerolstiener and Wrolich will have the jersey tomorrow.

Stage 2
Today it's the first flat stage of the tour and we will protect Bennati during the stage and hope he will at least take a podium place. The main opponents are Dekkers and Clerc according to the newspaper.
The early break of 9 is split in to two groups and doesn't stand a chance. They are caught with almost 30km left of the stage.
The sprint will start soon, Bennati had some problems with finding a wheel, but now he is right behind Dion(AG2R). Dekkers has a really bad wheel, Rick Flens.
Bennati had to go in to the wind early and now has Dekkers behind him, this could be really hard.
Dekkers takes it!....Clerc is 2nd and Bennati completes the podium. A decent first sprint stage, Bennati is about equal to the others.

Bennati must be out of form. In Stage 4 you had the wrong wheel but you still couldnt beat the guy infront of you
What is Bennatis form like?

Our team here is built around Bennati and hoping that he will finally take his first season win.
Here is the early break, they are being chased by Lampre and Milram.
It doesn't help, with 9km it's decided....they will stay away.
Three of them will fight for it in a sprint.......meanwile the peleton is also preparing for a sprint
Ermeti is the big surprise of the day, he takes a big win
Bennati wins the peleton sprint and takes 10th place.......always a good sign

We have sent Bennati again to lead a race, this time we also have Cunego here for his first race of the season.
The break is close to getting caught on the last climb.
5 breakaway riders is chased by yet another 5 riders including Cunego
13 riders are fighting for the win in a sprint.....Cunego is there, could it be a win for Lampre?
It's break away rider Pömer with Garzelli and Cunego behind
Garzelli wins!......Cunego is just a little bit behind. Another podium for Lampre

so it seems
Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana

Yet again we have Bennati here to try and win a few stages. We also have Napolitano as a lead out man if he survives the hills and Valjavec/Vila for the general classification.
The break is caught and it's 73 riders left for the sprint. Among others Napolitano, Freire and Valverde has lost contact with the peleton.
Bennati with Ballan as lead out man in a very good position
It's Bennati vs Moreno with 1,5km left, who will take it?
It's Bennati!!.....first win of the season people
