Really poor finish from Ginanni. Those downhill finishes though are always like that. |

Well i think the final km, where the sprint was, was flat until the climb up for the final ~500m

What I mean is whenever you play a stage which finishes at the bottom of a slope like that, most of the time the riders at the front will win it.
The AI probably didn't even recognize the final 500m as a hill. Just one of those things with the game.
Anyway, Ginanni has work to do very soon to redeem himself. Maybe not as much as Vavlerde though. |

Two top 10 places are ok I guess. And a 22nd for Rovny gets me 5 more important points. I'm doing averagely ok, just need to step it up a bit to be getting into the top 5 ranking.

Rankings Update - Early June/Philadelphia
A 3rd and a 2nd in the two HC races has brought Ginanni back on top of the continental tour, now leading former leader Taaramae by over 100 points. Predictably, Gilbert now shoots up to 5th, Wegmann is now 7th, and Van Garderen slots into 10th.

Teams
Right after Isle of Man, 3 points separated the top 3 teams with Jack Wolfskin briefly taking the lead. But Sony Ericsson have bounced right back to pull away once again, leaving Jack Wolfskin to maintain their current battle with 100% Me.
With 292 points from the two HC races, Vespa Caffreys have leapt up to 4th - just ahead of a stagnating Starbucks team. Nespresso are continuing their steady progress that may payoff eventually, but for now sees them drop out of the promotion places in 6th.
Below them there are 3 'new' teams in the Top 10, who werent there at the last rankings update. BMC are now 7th, Energie-Diesel 8th and AON Global now 10th following 290 pts in the HC races. IKEA Bianchi are keeping in the Top 10 but Santander, M&M and Olympus AirAsia fall out - the latter dropping 6 to 12.
Walmart and IrnBru are struggling to make an impression - expect Walmart to slip further still - they next race in over 10 races time - but as a contrast Wiggle are very much on an upward spiral. Now 16th, they have caught up with the bottome end of the chasing bunch of teams from 4th downwards. Look out for Kenda aswell, who are also well on the up.

If only Ginanni had responded a bit earlier to that move from Gilbert. Good to beat Valverde again though.
Guess we'll slip out of the top 5 once the Colombian race is over though. Still, looks good at the moment.
If memory serves, Ginanni is on a contract of 600k. Gilbert is on close to 1m. How about the other guys at the top? |

It's surely is and is kind of nice to know that Kessler's wage is nothing compared to other guys and he is still making his points.
About the rankings, Nespresso is still steady and some important points may come with the Vuelta a Colombia. But Starbucks will score many points too.
About the race itself, my team wasn't here so I can't comment their performance. I will, instead, agree with wacko, very good reporting SN. |

it's cause it came down to blind auction and someone had bidded 875,000. I needed a leader as all the others had been lapped up when i was on holiday.

I was in a bidding war with Wiggle for Ginanni. I'm hoping Basso, Napolitano and Bettini start to chip in with a few more points.
It's not too bad Kirchen didn't try anything. |

for you cause we both know that if he did, Ginanni would have been third and not second

I am pleased with BMC's progress up the board. Wegmann also has one of the lowest wages of the top 10 earners. Also not on that list but still worthy of a mention is Sylvain Calzati, in 31st with 277 points on a wage of 100,000.

Then I think Raúl Granjel Cabrera in third place with 533 points on a wage of €110,000 need some special mentioning.
And I declare Tre Valli Varesine as one of the most boring races this season. Damn passive riding.
