well, then maybe I'll have to search to internet for a free download  These Football Manager are easily to crack.

The game is huge. Everyone knows it.
And considering the insanely high number of german members on the official forums, I'd risk saying it's probably the same thing in germany.

Actually I didn`t played the 2010 version very much. The last manger I played over a longer term was 2007 or 08 I think.
Every manager after I played for a few days/weeks but never really long. |

The game is huge. Everyone knows it. You can't even buy it over here (except for UK imports at Amazon). As far as is know they can't use real names in a German version and neither manager games with fantasy names nor English only games sell well here. EA has some exclusive license in Germany. |

FM, formerly CM, has been huge since the start (93/94). I've had all CM/FM (from Sigames version) since 95/96 till now
It's by far the best and worlds most known manager. And you are telling me in Germany most people play FIFA manager because some license crap?
That's just a culture shock. Poor Germans.
Not only do they rape your films with synchronizing instead of subtitles, but also this.

Nice to hear that it`s not that bad not knowing this game or at least never really seen it
But if this game is better than I will buy the English version of this years version. |

CM was brilliant. It was made by SI.
Eidos owned the name "Championship Manager", so when they split with SI, SI couldn't continue to call their game "Championship Manager"...so they went with "Football Manager".
Eidos, meanwhile, decided to make some money on the fact that they had the rights to the name, so they hired another company to make a very crappy game and call it Championship Manager.....so that the people who don't know this would be suckers and buy it even though it's crap.
The split was 6 years ago, btw.

SI games made CM until CM 03/04. Then they had a dispute with their publisher Eidos Interactive and lost the name rights. Then they re-named it Football manager and got a new publisher. The CM games after that has nothing to do with the original CM games other than the name.

Football Manager is definetly much more popular than FIFA Manager. Football Manager has become a bestseller a couple of times. FIFA Manager are also rather popular, but in Denmark Football Manager has about 95 % of the market.
