Lombardia win Valverde. Surely he wouldn't want Contador finishing first on UCI pro tour points. He would want to retain 1st overall.
But he's banned in Italy.
Valverde's season is over.

I don't think that Contador will race in Lombardia. Contador's season is over since the Tour's end. |

It's very simply ursul, do not worry, Contador will not race in Lombardy, neither should that come as a suprise to you. Contador rarely rides any classic.
And neither does he ever race something after the Tour, last year was an exception due to the Olympic games |

Valverde is a great all season round rider I think, I finally got my wish in watching Valverde win a grand tour. Now I want my wish in watching Valverde winning next years TDF.
Lombardia win I think Cunego maybe Ivanov if he races after all he did win Amstel gold race, or Kolobnev looks good after his great ride in the world championships. |

If his team is invited, someone like Scarponi will do very well at Lomarbia.
Basso too, I hope will ride.
Maybe Janez can celebrate a first this year? |

To be completely accurate, he DID race the Vuelta last year. But that slip is totally forgivable, for obvious reasons
It would be nice to see the best Grand Tour rider of the day ride some additional races after the Tour, though. Hasn't happened in my cycling lifetime, unfortunately...

Maybe one day... So we can consider that Valverde win THe UCI ranking for the 2th? 3rd time?
I think that the winner in lombardia will be a rider that was not a favourite, he will be the last of the day breakaway to not be caught.
And just after, Cunego will be second

Anyone know if Alexsandr Kolobnev will be there? He looked mighty strong in the WC and I'd like to see a decent performance by him.

Agreed, I think if he does he'll come back on here and talk trash, considering the amount of shit we threw at him last year because of that whole thing |

You're very coherent for a ten year old
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

He was working really hard for Cunego the last 3 laps but in the last moment Cunego was not strong enough to go after Evans.... |

So he raced the Vuelta because of the Olympic Games, or because he couldn't participate in the Tour?
Either way, moot point

Hence why I specified "cycling" lifetime, yeah. My introduction to the sport begins and ends with LA, for better or worse. |
