Stage 6
2 days till the most important stage for my team. This stage even has a mountain sprint.
After two days of rest I wanted to get some money again. And this is a job for our breakaway boy Jure Zagar.
First attack of the day after two kilometres and...
Zagar follows Deroo.
The group worked and we could fight for the points
in front of the group is the mountain sprint.
I didn´t wanted to risk something and attacked
in the last and only kilometer of the hill.
Jørgensen tried to follow but had to give up and finnish second, Matcalfe was third
Zagar made his first six points for the KOM jersey.
The sprint came and because of Zagar´s great feeling (+4)
I attacked 2 kilometers before the second sprint.
Zagar had no problems to win
and I pressed one of the victory buttons (B,C,N,...)
I thought, if it worked so well in the first two sprints
why shouldn`t I try and attacked again.
Mission completed
all sprint were won. So Zagar relaxed and hasn´t done anything more in the group.
The breakaway group was caught again quite early
with 20km to go.
This time I decided for Kump to follow the yellow jersey from Clerke.
I didn´t looks bad with 5km to go. Koren tried it behind Pudgorny, Mugerli behind Giddaer and Signego was behind Rossi. I followed pretty everyone who seemed dangerous.
The sprint begins and a lot of things changed till there.
Kump lost Clerke´s wheel, Koren lost Pudgorny´s too
So I decided for both to follow Mugerli. Koren came there pretty fast, Kump had some problems with it.
Jimmy Casper-the forgotten one, at least I forgot him after some bad stage results- is in front.
Rossi tries to pass him in the last 200 meters. Koren and Kump just followed and their sprint bars were empty.
Casper wins, Rossi had no chance to pass him today. He was just to strong for us too.
My guys managed another top ten stage result.
They finnished sixt(Koren) and seventh(Kump)
And I have to say that it looks I have luck with Koren, when looking for someone to follow. On the next stage Kump will follow him and maybe it will work better than for now. Our breakaway boy Zagar made a great job again and at least I earned some more money. And I really have to, at least if I want to sign someone at the end of the year. The financial prediction for October is an positive 0€. But I have to come trought with it till January 1. It will be hard, but nothing is impossible.

sorry guys but my game crashed today when I wanted to open the saved game. I just won´t work.
If you want -then post it and I will download the expansion pack and try it again with Adria in this thread. If no I won´t post from my new start
I would like to continue and if you would change something just post it.
For example longer or shorter posts, more or less screens and so on.

to less money from the sponsors and 5 new guys were a little bit too much. But I have instaled the expansion pack and I am really really happy with it. The stats from Vrecer and Gnezda are realistic and I won´t need to expand my team to get some results. The new team presentation will be online tonight.

Adria Mobil-The second attemp
This time I play with th expansion pack in which the stats of Vrecer and Gnezda are realistic. I will try it on hard difficulty and hope that it won´t be to hard. Because of the small financial crisis I would have in the game before it crashed, I won´t sign any new guys for now. And I am happy with the curent stats too.
In the team are four guys who can and hopefully will deliver succes and of course money.
Team Captain: Tomazs Nose
Co-Captain: Uros Murn
Sprinter: Marko Kump
Climber and protected rider: Robert Vrecer
Matej Gnezda and Kristjan Fajt will be used as leadout guys in sprints.
Miha Svab will have free hands in some races.
Jarc, Signego and Zagar should be "breakaway boys"
Because I try it on hard, I want to ask you for some advices or tipps in a mass sprint.
when do you usually take the gel for extra power?

This are the team stats:
The unlucky thing is that I have just ten riders and so it´s impossible to take part in two races on same day. Unfortunately there is no money for new guys. At least not this season.
The sponsor goals are following:
Wear the sprinters jersey:
1. Tour de Slovenie
2. Star Elektrotoer
Finnish in the top ten:
3. Gp di Lugano
4. Paris-Coreze
5. Tour de Belgique
6. Gp Miguel Indurain

Gp de Marseille
My Team:
Nose
Murn
Svab
Vrecer
Jarc
Fajt
I have already won that race with Kocjan before the game crashed. I know that it won´t be easy to do it again and on hard difficulty. The guys have a solid from instead of Murn(58 Pts).
There were many attacks in the beginning if the race and this gruop finally made it.
The break looked pretty good with a 2:30 lead with 20km to go. But then Rabobak Continental and BBox increased the speed, and the group was caught 10km to go.
Nose attacked with 5km remaining
BBox made it´s train with Fedrigo, Bonnet and even Arashiro could catch up. Murn still in good position.
Nose is being followed by three BBox guys and still one km to go
The final meters and the BBox guys still havent catched Nose, Traksel is coming from nowhere and Murn follows
A very close finnish, but surprisingly Nose could stay in front
and I made it again. It looks as if this is my race
Sorry I forgot to export results:
1. Nose
2. Traksel
3. Fedrigo
4. Arashiro
5. Murn
6. R. Feillu
7. Rolland
8. Lequatre
9. Heymans
10. Kairelis
another very good start, which increases my motivation to play on. The reports will include less screens because it takes me lot of time to make them and change the .bmp file to .jpg.

Giro di Grosseto:
Stage 1
I came there to win the polka dot jersey and to make it in the top ten.
My team:
Murn
Nose
Vrecer
Gnezda
Kump
Jarc
Zagar
Fajt
Like in every race I decided for an "breakaway boy". This time is it Gnezda, the man who should bring the polka dot jersey home.
He has 64 in mountains, 66 for hills and 71 in sprints.
The first attack came quite early and Gnezda was in the breakaway group
He won all sprints and the group was caught
Unfortunately he could´t keep pelotons pace in last 7 km, despite I took the gel. But just 53 guys could stay in peloton as it splitted.
The sprint begun and was Murn in a solid position
But he was not strong enough in the finnish
and Siedler was in front with 1km to go
No one could follow, Vorarlberg got their first victory
and the jellow jersey

Giro di Grosseto:
Stage 2
The last hill looks promising for an attack.
Gnezda was again in the breakaway and took some extra points in the sprints
he won on the first hill too. But they were caught on the second climb.
The speed in the peloton was huge and I was happy to get my guys over it
None of my riders had some energy on the top of the hill. There were some attacks but they were caught very quickly. Sieberg (leader) made it very close to come in the first group over the hill.
The sprint started and it didn´t looked promising for me
Traksel was in front, but wasn´t dangerous for Siedler because he lost time yesterday
Traksel won in front of Van Hummel and F. Gavazzi
Murn had no chance and finnished 17th
It looked as if I had a bad stage, but then I have seen this:
Gnezda is the leading sprinter without to finnish a stage in the peloton.

Leukemans is dangerous to take the KOM jersey of Gnezda´s shoulders. I can still win the green and polka dot jersey. I am sure this would make the sponsors happy. Tommorow is the last stage-climb at the end. Let hope for the best.

Giro di Grosseto:
3rd and last Stage
A short but hard stage, especially for Siedler, the overall leader. I don´t think he can defend his jersey but hope that Vorarlberg will catch the breakaway group.
Gnezda tried it but came to short. At least he could manage two points for green jersey.
15 man were in front. Even Soler, the main favourite for today´s stage attacked. He lost two minutes in stage one. This were very good news for us. But they had no chance today and were caught 15km to go.
Bernucci attacked, Nose had to wait for bottles and missed it to follow. Very unlucky situation. If Fajt would bring the bottles 10 seconds earlyer Nose wouldn´t have any problem to follow. So I decided to attack some seconds later.
Only Noe followed.
But Noe made a counter attack and Nose couldn´t follow him.
It looks good for Bernucci
In the meantime Nose was caught by the group and Vrecer keept a very high speed in the peloton. We wanted to split it.
Froome attacked as next
Bernucci won it by 26 seconds. Mori and Noe sprinted for second.
I don´t know how he came in but el diavolo appeared and followed Baliani.
My guys finnished in the peloton with 88 riders. Siedler lost more than three minutes.
I finnaly missed the top ten but finnished with same time as 8th placed Reihs with three guys (Nose, Vrecer, Murn). For that I had more luck in the points and KOM rankings. The guy who didn´t finnished any stage in the peloton won both jerseys------Matej Gnezda.

Summary:
I wanted the polka dot jersey and a top ten finnish.
I got two jerseys and a 12th place overall. That´s enough to make me happy, but not the sponsors. They haven´t recognised anything. I hoped they would at least recognise the 12th overall. So I left Italy a little bit disappointed.

One tip. Counter attack instead of attacking if possible. If you have to attack and someone follows then sit down for a moment until he passes you and counter attack him.

Volta ao Algarve:
Stage 1
After good racing at Giro di Grosseto, I want to keep this pace in Portugal.
My Team:
Gnezda
Murn
Zagar
Fajt
Signego
Kump
Svab
First attack were launched early and the group woth Gnezda didn´t came farther than first sprint. Gnezda won it and was caught some meters later. Nothing happened for the next 20km.
Then finnaly Offredo attacked and three guys followed. Breakaway boy Gnezda was in the group
Their biggest lead were just three minutes.
Gnezda won a mountain sprint and finnished the second as third. At sprint two they were caught by the peloton.
5km to go and Murn followed Nick Bates and the Rabobank train lead with Flecha-Freire
The sprint began and Murn was in perfect position. Freire had to leave Flecha´s wheel early.
Bates left Freire behind and Murn left his wheel with 1km to go
Can I win the Stage and yellow jersey today????
Yes we can!!!! My first sprint win on hard level!!!
Freire finnished just fourth and Bates helped Murn to win it today.
Surpisingly Boonen missed a train in the sprint and finnished nowhere.
As you can see there are great sprinters at the race and that makes the win even better. Kump couldn´t follow in he last few kilometers and has lost some time. The hills today just killed him.

Well done.Great win.
I think the most importante is that you control the pace of the peloton, you must have almost all riders at the front, like the AI does.Maybe you have luck and get some help from a couple of Pro Tour teams,if not, then it will be hard for your boyzzzs. |
