Speaking of Sky, whatever happened to Geraint Thomas? Wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing, capable of dominating the classics?
Or more likely, Phil and Paul overrated him like they do to pretty much every English speaking rider.
I remember he had an alright season last year, and this year I think he was focusing a lot on the Olympics. If you didn't see him this year, he will probably be one to emerge on your radar next year.

I think he will have a big season next year, It was stated at the start of this season that it was all about the olympics for him.

Thomas? He will win the Tour in the next ten years future, if the Sky marginal gains will be still functional.
And i am a bit sad that Cav will leave Sky, he is such an as*hole that he fits to the team completly.

Not really. He didn't say they were domestiques for Wiggins this year, he said they're too good to be mountain domestiques for Wiggins, which will totally happen next year if Wiggins targers Giro-Vuelta and Froome-Tour. They might lead in some less-important races, but they'll still very likely be domestiques for Wiggo at some point
Yes the will be used for sure next Year as domestiques for Wiggins or Froome. And this Year as "Leaders" at the Giro the had to work for Cavendish in the flat Stages. Im pretty sure they will be leaving Sky next Year.
Definitely not Henao, quite sure of it. He's very happy at Sky. He'll move on in 3-4 years to some Colombian team, like Coledeportes - but he won't leave next year.
Uran is different kettle of fish, he also seems quite happy with Sky - but he could leave next year. I don't think he will though, lots can change obviously though.

You should focus on facts first His big goal was Olympics - and by far his biggest priority this year. And he achieved that.
Looking at last year - 2nd in Dwars - loosing out in sprint to Nuyens ( wchi he should have really won but did way too much work at the end to held off the peleton comapred to Nuyens ). 10th at Ronde wchich was very epic ride, started as domestique to Flecha, turned out much stronger than him. Over the last hill pulled Hincapie / Flecha group himself to the favoruites and finished in leading group, after his domestique work. And then he went down in PR twice. Plus, he's an amazing lead-out. Just look at Paris-Nice 2011 when Greg won, compeltley surprsied the HTC lead-out, and other his varies Tour lead-outs.
He'll defnitely focus on classics next year. Be at Tour in triple role really. 1st, lead-out EBH in few sprints. 2nd, if Sky doesn't have yellow, get into breaks. 3rd, if they do - lead the peleton. And of course he seems capability of winning stage races that wouldn't have big mountains.
Avin, except Wiggo and Cav I don't see any ****holes at Sky ( talking about riders ) ? Do you ?

Next year should be a good year for Geraint, with Flecha gone I'd think he'll be their leader for the classics, probably sharing it with EBH. |

I ment Wiggo especially, i dont know much about other riders personalities. But i dont like the team as the whole, their recent racing/trading philosophy and Brailsford too.
Plus OPQS is one of my favourite teams, which would be very threatened by presence of someone like Cavendish.

Daniel Hoelgaard will sign for Omega Pharma - Quickstep's U23 team. He and his brother Markus Hoelgaard were both in talks with the team and their management, and Daniel Hoelgaard will sign for them for the next season, while Markus Hoelgaard most likely will ride as a stagiaire for them next autumm, as he wants to finish high school first. |

Looks like team sky is recruiting good climbers to counter the threat of spanish climbers.Cataldo and Locke most likely to work as teammates for Froome n Wiggins. As for team sky being boring, blame the other teams for not attacking them enough. |

I'd rather blame them for being so strong, that the opposition is unable to attack, due to the high pace. (so not only are they boring, but they make the race boring too.)

How can you blame someone/a team for being too good? |

He didn't actually "blame" them. He said that the reason they are boring is because they are too strong as a team, not because the others don't try to attack them. Or at least, that's how I see it.

VERY surprising for me. He doesn't have the results to deserve riding WT at the moment.
He is considered a talent somewhat in German youth ranks, so he'll be in good company. Still, it would surprise me a lot if he made an impact next year, actually not 2014 either.

I believe he means that aswell, and I agree, but he says it like he's blaming Sky. |
