VladuuTs
great story so far. can you tell us what riders are you going to sign or it will be a surprise ? Grin

roturn
The main core of the team will stay like Maaskant-Vansummeren-Boom on cobbles, Farrar-Haussler-Goss for sprints and Hesjedal-Sanchez-Martin-Fuglsang for GT`s.

Also Stetina-Dao-Kreder and other nice talents stay.

Free puncheurs are Vaugrenard, Roche and Sagan. Not sure about them as it`s not the transfer period yet and they still can renew their contract before.
Other interesting names are Lewis, Phinney, Barton, Butler and bringing back Cozza. Wink
These 5 would be mainly helpers, but this is what I need most I think and some more Americans would be nice. I just have 5 at the moment and these 5 could definitely help on every terrain and are a bit better than Wilson or Meier probably but weaker than Millar for example. Therefore under 25 and so potential left probably.

valverde321
I'd say of those Puncheurs Roche is the most realistic but you probably dont need any more puncheurs.

Phinney would be nice. Smile

i'd say that lewis/barton and phinney would be great signins Grin especially that they are americans Grin

roturn
Main problem is that there aren`t many American talents free for 2013 although no real talented neo pro.
So these 5 are the best American younger riders.

The problem with puncheurs is that my best puncheur has 78 in hill and is mainly focussed on a GT. So I would need a better hill rider like these 3, 79-80 and main peak in the Ardennes.

VladuuTs
than sagan looks a very good choice Smile

Sagan's stats ?

roturn
Sagan would be very nice indeed. But he is very expensive I think. So Roche and especially Vaugrenard should be cheaper for sure.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Sonstiges/Sagan.jpg
Sagan improved very nice in the last 2 1/2 seasons. Not sure where his limits are. He was ~55th PT in 2010, 43rd in 2011 and actually he is 9th in 2012 where he was 2nd in AGR. So definitely one of the best riders without a contract for next season.

Tour de Suisse - Stage 2
Lugano - Locarno
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-2-1.jpg
Todays stage looks pretty well for the sprinters, so Goss will try something here. But the race officials made the stage hilly for some reason. So we also must be concentrated with Sanchez.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-2-2.jpg
Some riders in the break of the day. Roulston (Omega), Saramotins (Colnago), Longo Borghini (Androni), Ista (Cofidis), Freire (Rabobank), Frapporti (Farnese), Beuret (HTC) and Guldhammer (Leopard).
And now we also see the reason for the hilly definition. The road is like a wave. Lots of climbs everywhere. So Goss really suffers on some of them.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-2-3.jpg
As expected Astana and Leopard are doing the pace. Also Breschel is within them, so he probably won`t go for the stage win here.
The group looks really strong and it will be very close to catch them.
They could really surprise today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-2-4.jpg
The sprint started and the group was still a little bit ahead.
Kevyn Ista wins the stage out of the group ahead of Beuret and Sagan, who almost caught them as first of the peloton. Goss as 5th and Sanchez as 8th very the next best out of the peloton in between the group.
So a good start for us although we could have reached more obviously.

Sagan does seems a great signing, but if you think he's too expensive, go for Roche. From those three, he's the only one who can help out in GTs when there are hard, steep mountains. And because there's Dan Martin in the team. Pfft

VladuuTs
yeah, roche would be great too. if you sign him you will have the best 2 irish riders in your team Smile

kissaha
I thought you were going to use my variant? Smile

roturn
@Freitas @& VladuuTs: Roche would indeed be a nice signing. But he won`t be such a good help on steep clibms in GT`s. His mountain stat is equal than Sagan`s. (73)
I started the career before last year`s Vuelta. Wink

@kissaha: I am so sorry. Totally forgot to change the variant. But I might play your variant from stage 4 until the end as some stages in a changed order so that the stages are quite similar to the stages in this variant. The variant I use is not really good. Lot`s of waves and no constant climbs at all. So your 2011 TdS will be integrated now, starting with stage 4 then as I already played the 3rd. All 3 mountain stages will be there for sure.

Edit: That means I will play stages 7,8,2,6,4,9 in this order from day 4-9. These are a bit easier than the mountains in the actual variant but quite similar profiles and probably better to play.

Nothing to be sorry about, it's your loss Wink

You should go for a puncher with both good sprint and acceleration stats, as often the classics in Ardennes are decided on the final sprint. But with Sagan i think it would be too easy. Pfft Oh, and hurry up with the Tour. Smile

VladuuTs
Roche has now 73, but i think he will improve in time. Even though he would be a good helper for increasing the pace at the start of a climb or for shorter climbs

The variant I use is not really good. Lot`s of waves and no constant climbs at all.

The first screenshot of TdS 2nd stage speaks for itself Wink I really don't like this stages, had a stage like this in a Paris-Nice-variant, too, and it totally destroyed the gameplay.. so it's a good choice to go for kissaha's Smile

And.. nice 5th with Goss though!

BTW. Gilbert is also free next season. but I normally don`t want the best riders and he is also too expensive. Sagan would be a nice addition, but actually also too good. Roche and Vaugrenard are more probably. Roche is the better climber for sure.
Not sure about his potential to improve. Can`t imagine that both of them have much left.

@tsmoha: Thanks. Indeed, it can be a fun killer sometimes. So next stage will be the former variant and then Kissaha`s.

The first of 3 mountain stages is the easiest. With an early mountain and a long descent and a flat part behind there is a chance for the sprinters again if the pace isn`t too fast uphill.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-2.jpg
Leukemans (Quick), A.Efimkin (Ag2r), Voß (NetApp) and Mondory (Cofidis) attacked early today. Behind them there is another group ahead of the peloton.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-3.jpg
8 riders are there but due to their weaker climbing skills the can`t follow them and will fall back during the climb.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-4.jpg
Especially Lampre is doing the work in the peloton. Probably they are riding for Napolitano today as he gets covered the most. He isn`t really the kind of sprinter you expect to do well in harder stages, but he feels good obviously.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-5.jpg
Also the Garmin riders are still in the first rows. Matthew Goss struggled a tiny bit but he won`t have problems to stay in the peloton. On the descent he will be able to relax again.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-6.jpg
Next to 5 Lampre riders also David Millar is doing the pace now for Goss. The terrain will be quite flat until the end, so Goss will definitely get a try today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-7.jpg
Goss found a good wheel behind Ginnani and ahead of Napolitano. Also Sagan on the left has a helper left for the sprint.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-3-8.jpg
In a quite close sprint it`s Sagan again beating the others. Napolitano and Traksel follow next ahead of Goss as 4th. Unfortunately he wasn`t able to accelerate in the end. Also LL Sanchez Gil`s 5th today shows his great form.

Too bad Goss didn't finish on the podium. Still a nice result with him and LLS.
