Here is Seeldraeyers's (quite funny) reaction after the race:
'Maar er zat eigenlijk meer in', mokte Seeldraeyers achteraf. 'Ik had last van diarree vandaag, en moest twee keer het bos in spurten. Toen ik een derde keer moest, ging het veel te snel in het peloton. Dus zat er maar één ding op: me laten afzakken naar de volgwagen, truitje uit en broek naar beneden. En dan kakken in een koersklakske, dat ze onder mij hielden. (grinnikt) Comfortabel is anders.'

Or in English: Seeldraeyers had some trouble with diarrhea. When he had to go to the toilet for the third time that day, the pace in the pack was too high, so he decided to go to the Quickstep car behind the pack and just used a cap. |

From cycle sport:
If Cavendish wins a few stages of the Giro, in particually the stage into Firenze then he will get freedom of the town of Quarrata (the town where he lives and the British cycling academy is)

Nice, Levi's making jokes about his own downhilling ability whilst Lance tries to cover it up with talk about "the locals" knowing the area. I didn't know Menchov and Sastre were "locals", but I guess I must be wrong...
yeaah,,best part. ..and once you are italian then you know every descent in Italy..has every chinese knows every downhill in china |

As a levi fan i am quite worried about this 1.40 time gap. I dont think the TT favors him at all really. Last few years he's been more or less consistent with his time trials but he throws in occasional stinkers. Part of it usually derives from fact that he usually saves his best for last and sometimes has too much in tank at end.
I think most people know levi is not a great descender. i think part of that rep that he is ...comes from fact he is former skiier i think.
last time i saw a tt this long was a couple years ago at tdf...it was 51km ithink...this one is 61km and hilly...kinda unique. What kind of time gaps are you guys expecting in this? I mean doing my math if Levi doesnt put 3 mins into DD he could be in trouble. |

Caisse team leader Joaquim RodrÃguez retires.
Didn't we all comment a few months ago that the team was INSANE to demand him to be in top form from mid-march till the end of the Giro? well, we were all right.
Next stop: Vuelta team leader.

Amazing, the view from the helicopter was obscured by a tree and I tried to change the camera angle with my mouse and the ALT key....too much PCM I think. |

Well, it would be cool if you could do that. And to fast forward by pressing +; I find today's stage kind of boring.

Man, I thought a break would make it today. Then I turned it on to only see Isaichev out there. There goes my PCM money. |

The sprinters know they have only 2, maximum 3 sprint stages left, so they're not letting this chance get away. So today and friday are almost guaranteed sprints

That makes sense. I just figured a big break really hadn't made it yet, so one was bound to stick sometime. |
