Wrong, i read somewhere last week (in a magazine) that the wins he has accumulated since the ban in Italy will be taken away from him.

I would assume so, as the case is to make the italian ban global, so i assume it starts when Italy banned him and will finish 2 or 4 years later (are they doing the 4 year bans yet?)

But the good news is (for non-spaniards) is that this doper from Puerto will almost certainly be banned, the evidence is concrete.
Now all we need banning is AC, all the other cyclists, footballers, tennis etc. stars.

Well, I'm Spanish and I want him to be banned, as well as AC and all the other OP's athletes. I think that the way the OP was managed is a shame for any people who really like sport, spaniard or not. It's just not to be a blind chauvinist.
But don't expect Nadal and the footballers to be caught. Even AC is more likely to be caught in Spain than them.

Well, for AC there still no evidences. What the Spanish government must do , is to take all the bags from Operacion Puerto and compare them with all the sport people. Because there are a lot of bags that still not check. I think there will be also some other important sportsmen from other countries involve... |

no, it's because the spanish authorities don't want their sports stars convicted, not because "oh it will take time to check all the bags", yes it will take a little time, but it's been 4 years.

The sad thing is that it's not just the people in charge right now that are like that. The people 20 years ago were exactly the same, which means the ones in the future will probably be the same.
Even 20 years ago when Delgado tested positive when he won the Tour, the spanish government immediately sent a team of lawyers to defend Delgado. It's ridiculous, a government hearing that someone is accused of cheating and sending people to defend them immediately. pathetic.
Pretty much the same thing now.
Fuentes had a larger lab that surely would've had a lot more evidence. It was never raided by any police.

It isn't that ridiculous really. Just think that the Spanish government is there because people elected them. Okay, as in the whole Western Europe. Then, an example on why "Spain is different".
In the IAAF World Cup of Berlin, this summer, a Spanish athlete smashed an Ethiopian (I think) athlete to the floor and then won the 1500m race. Then she was disqualified. The Spanish federation made a reclamation, but, after watching the video, retired it. Quickly many people deciced who was guilty of losing a medal: the government.
So, they are just afraid of the people's reaction (and they want a photo with a Tour winner every year too  ). Sometimes I think that this country gives sport too much importance. |

Valverde has won a three week tour. Im so proud I always knew he could do it  , now for the Tour next year. Big Valverde Contador battle in next years Tour. Well Done Valverde. |

Ok with Valverde there was a bag with plasma... then guilty, but with AC there was no bag. He was only in the Eufemiano list, but there are not proves.

Im ready for the backlash lol. Valverde is my cycling idol if it werent for him and Armstrong more Valverde I would never have got into cycling and started cycling. The guy is amazing to me and I would celebrate like crazy when he wins next years tour. |

No proves? It is not a proof being in the list of Dr.Fuentes as a patient with an individualized treatment?
Even more, don't you think that, if the OP is really completed, more proofs would be found about AC, Schleck, and the other ones who haven't been caught?

Well, I got into cycling thanks to Pantani and Kelme, ehem... I don't see anything wrong in recognising that those who were your idols are cheaters.
Oh, and I wouldn't bet my money on Piti for the next Tour. Who knows if he will even be able to be there. |
