Fuglsang very strong in the climb, and a good sprint by Gesink.

Just watched the Giro dell'Emillia. Enjoyed it Smile

However, could've been more exciting if I didn't already know that Gesink won (or as I told doddy yesterday: "It's obvious Gesink did very well, or the ducth wouldn't be making so many posts on that topic" )

And yet another 2nd place for Fuglsang.

Well duuh, it's the Giro dell'Emillia Smile
Finishes with 4 climbs of the San Luca (from this year's Giro stage 14). The finish is at the top of the 4th climb.

Vino is always good in on day races. He has after all won Amstel Gold Race and Liège-Bastogne-Liège

Major thumbs up to Gilbert. A non-sprinter taking two sprinters' classics in a row. wow.

I've always loved Gilbert. He seems to be one of the few racers left that race with some balls. Compared to such calculated and conservative races like the TdF seeing Gilbert attack in the final few km is always worth watching. One of my favorite finishes to date was in the Tour de Suisse stage 9 in 2008 where Gilbert attacked with (2k?) to go on a slight uphill leading into a downhill finish and then Cancellara chased him down for the win.

Gilbert's on fire now. He surely wants Lombardia to be right now, maybe saturday's too late for him.
