That'd be a great way to finish the first main preparation race ahead of the Giro.

Didn't expect to do this well on the TT, impressive that Ruben even came close to 5th in the end.
I should speak out my wishes more often.

Sorta surprised Quintana has developed into such a good TT rider, but I guess that profile is just quite hard.

It was, the course certainly suited the good climbers more. And so few good (or even solid) time trialists are born in Colombia.

Won't dare to hope for a result matching 2019, but let’s hope Ednaldo Luiz Cortes steeps up and reach for the sky after the loss of Aldo Lature – fingers crossed for a top 10

Top 10 would be very welcome to top off a cobble campaign which clearly still was a learning school to Cortes.

Paris - Roubaix (1.UWT) L'enfer du Nord, 254.5 kms
The peloton wouldn't let anyone but these five go: Jean-Philippe Bourret, Jhonatan Restrepo, Guillaume Thevenot, Pierrick Naud and Brent Luyckx. They built a 7' gap ahead of Troisvilles, only the 1st of 28 secteur pavés. The escapees had dropped 2 minutes when they started infamous Trouée d'Arenberg section, which our riders covered while sitting brilliantly close to the front. A 123 men strong pack was very likely about to get thinned. After the Wallers forest, the pace went up. Direct Energie's Thevenot got caught with 80 kms to go. The other four leaders had their lead at 1'45". Naud, Luyckx and Restrepo were the last to be reeled in, around 70 kms from the velodrome. The newly formed pack was down to just 64 riders. Drama on the 5-star Mons-en-Pévèle section! Podium contenders Stybar and Benoot were involved in a crash! Their time loss quickly amounted to more than 1'15", and the front group definitely was not planning to wait. Benoot could count on strong teammates in Roelandts and Debusschere. As opposed to Stybar, he did catch up, after a demanding 15 km pursuit. The Belgian champion caught his breath for just a short while, before he attacked out the blue. Senechal followed, our 2 men in the group waited. On two shorter cobbled sections, Lutsenko managed to bridge. The three took 15" with the cobbles of the Camphin-en-Pévèle section approaching. On the section itself, the last before Carrefour de l'Arbre, Senechal broke clear from everybody. That's where Ednaldo showed some weakness for the very first time; wenty contenders left for today's cobblestone trophy. Senechal had kept his gap at 15" when he left le Carrefour. He was being chased down by a 13-man group Ednaldo sadly had been dropped from. BMC's leader covered the very last long cobbled section (Chéreng-Château d'Hem - 3.300m) all by himself. Fifteen chasers rode about 11" in arrears. Ednaldo had only just caught up with the group when the pace went up again. He couldn't keep up and would be dropped definitively. The others kept pacing until Senechal was caught. A vast group into the velodrome. Sep Vanmarcke tried a late acceleration on the penultimate lap. Benoot, winner of last year's race, was looked at to close the gap. Lutsenko took advantage as he jumped to his first monument from the Belgian's wheel. Our 19-year old Brazilian leader Ednaldo Luiz Cortes turned away from the velodrome in 16th place, showing great potential for the future years. Indeed, can't say we did a bad job. Just lacked a few percent to do better, our story of this year's cobbled races.
