Michael Kolář reportedly signed for Saxo-Bank. Hopefully he will be able to compete in WT sprints in a few years, he certainly is talented enough for it.

Swiss MTB star rider Nino Schuter is considering the possibility of making a switch to the road for Tour de Romandie and Tour de Suisse and couple of other races in 2014. He is riding on Scott bikes as a MTB rider, so he would rider for Orica. But the problem is, he needs an exception from UCI to allow him to do it.
Interesting. So what about Kulhavy now? He was thinking about the switch for quite a while iirc...

I doubt Orica would want him unless he committed to the road and ditched MTB, also with the amount of riders out of work at the moment he might struggle to find a spot on a WT squad for next season providing the UCI gave him clearance. He has the talent for sure but 2015 would be a more realistic goal.

Last thing I read about Kulhavy is that 2014 will be his last season in the MTB circuit and that he wants to focus on road cycling from 2015. |
