Thanks to Sky, Britain have 3 riders. I think we'll need to use the Aussie train at the worlds.

*sigh* The worlds qualification system is stupid.
I've learnt to live with that. It's the UCI, they are a stupid governing body.

Anyone know how many Norway will get to send to the WC? EBH in second today and Alex Kristoff in an impressive fourth, his best result ever

ruben, do the Netherlands have a world class sprinter?
It's alright having 9 riders, but its how you use them.

Probably 3.
Guessing they'll send Hushovd, Boasson Hagen and someone else.

Yes, it will be Hushovd + Boasson Hagen + either Arvesen or Nordhaug. Most likely Arvesen since he is always on form when it gets to the World Championships.
Awesome by Kristoff, he is just getting better and better and with more experience and training he will be up there with the best every time.

In Melbourne you do not need a world class sprinter.
(btw, we have Theo Bos, ex world champion sprint.)
I looked at the video recon of the local circuit in Geelong a few days ago.
No way that is going to be a mass sprint.

Leezers 7. place and Greipels 3. place should mean that Denmark gets 6 riders to WC..

Well then, who do you think will win?
Bos is a good sprinter, but he can't get over hills.

Just look at the course (video)
I tip Gilbert. OR any kind of explosive hilly rider with a sprint.
Of the sprinters, I see very very slim chances of them reaching the final straight in the front.
Maybe Freire, Hagen or Ciolek. Doubt it though, seriously doubt it
