boonen seems to be the only decent cobbled rider available. I´d suggest him if u have the money, which I don´t think you have
maybe cobo. you´ll have someone for the gp al pais vasco and vuelta espana.
or rebellin, but then he´ll be a contender to kirchen in the classics.
I would place my money on rebellin, and make kirchen focus only about the tour! just let kirchen ride paris nice . gp al pais vasco, amstel, fleche wallonne then dauphine.
that´s how I do with contador in my team. then you can concentrate rebellin on the classics, and kirchen can assist him there
I don´t know rebellins hilly stats though. |

I have the money. Don't forget that Hincapie is leavind, plus I already have more than 100,000 on my salary cap left. Boonen could be good for cobbles and sprint (cobbled races and classics + one GT the one that had more hills, the other 2 for Cav as he is not so good on hills).
About Cobo and Rebellin no. No way I will sign those 2. I don't like Cobo, so Karpets would be a better choice for some one week races and Vuelta. About Rebellin is getting really old and I won't sign riders that already are more than 30 years old, plus I think that he stats are already decreasing from the start of the carrer.

Dauphine Libere Stage 1
Cancellara came with a great time from the early beggining
All our stars Rogers, Hincapie, Martin, Hagen, Wiggins, Grabsch, Lovkvist tried to beat him but they have no chance
Evans is the big favourite this year in Dauphine but he isn't even close to win the prologue
Kloden is the main opponent for Evans and he starts the race with a good performance in the prologue, second behind Cancellara.
Results
1. Fabian Cancellara Team CSC - Saxo Bank 2'59
2. Andreas Klöden Agritubel + 2
3. Manuel Quinziato Liquigas + 7
4. Kevyn Ista Agritubel s.t.
5. Juanjo Cobo Saunier Duval - Scott s.t.
6. Brett Lancaster Team Milram + 8
7. Bradley Wiggins Team Columbia s.t.
8. Andy Schleck Team CSC - Saxo Bank s.t.

I'd have expected more from Wiggins but hey a prologue means nothing!

I hate this kind of races, the leght of this prologue wasn't 8km like it's showed on the stage profile. It wasn't even close to 8km, there were only 2km so it's hard to get a top speed in just 2km |

Rebellin is a horrible investment. He can't ride more than 2(max. 3) seasons and his stats will decrease every moment of that time.
However Juan José Cobo Acebo, as you also mentioned, sounds interesting

How expensive is he then?
Maybe Antón? That'd add a pure, talented climber to your squad

if I don't want to sign him as a free agent for sure I won't do that when he has already a contract and I will have to spend more money.
And I'm not lookin for climbers, I'm looking for stage racers that can do very well in TT |

Dauphine Libere Stage 2
The breakaway. There was a big name, Ballan, but he didn't fight for anything, he didn't even looked interested for the KoM jersey. This probably was just a training for him as maybe he wants a Tour de France stage win.
Hincapie, Hagen and Eisel are heading to the front. This could be our train for the Tour as well
Hincapie isn't in top form so he can't help Eisel too much and the Austrian champion has now only Hagen near to help him
But Hagen can't help him too much either and Eisel gets in the slipstream of the Rabo guys
Accelerations at the same time by Eisel and Barbosa...
And again the Portuguesse guy beats us.

Veenendaal - Veenendaal
Van Heerden is in the breakaway
But sudenly the strong wind puts him down and he has to retire from the race
Also because of the strong wind Burghardt couldn't go to the front of the pack
So Ciolek had to do all the job by himself
Without the team support Gerald couldn't do anything, and the battle for the win was between Van Hummel and Gasparotto
Finally the victory went to Silence Lotto and Enrico Gasparotto
Results
1. Enrico Gasparotto Silence - Lotto 4h52'05
2. Kenny Van Hummel Skil - Shimano s.t.

Dauphine Libere Stage 4
The terrain isn't really flat so we won't epect much from Wiggins and Grabsch
But we expect much more from Hincapie and Tony Martin
Again Cancellara comes with a fanatastic time. This could be his second TT win in Dauphine this year.
Good times for Lovkvist and Kloden. Like in the prologue Kloden is close to beat Cancellara but he is behind at the end
The Silence - Lotto duo is the most close to beat Cancellara, but neither Evans or Popovych can take the lead
Rogers cames with a good performance that keeps him in top 5 at the moment
Ricco lost today the yellow jersey but he maintains his ass on the podium as the TT was a little bit hilly and he didn't lose so much time
Stage
1. Fabian Cancellara Team CSC - Saxo Bank 38'29
2. Yaroslav Popovych Silence - Lotto + 6
3. Cadel Evans Silence - Lotto + 7
4. Andreas Klöden Agritubel + 9
5. Luis León Sánchez AG2R La Mondiale + 29
6. Michael Rogers Team Columbia + 35
7. Juanjo Cobo Saunier Duval - Scott + 47
8. George Hincapie Team Columbia + 50
9. Janez Brajkovic Astana Cycling Team + 57
10. Mikel Astarloza Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
Overall
1. Yaroslav Popovych Silence - Lotto 8h26'18
2. Cadel Evans Silence - Lotto + 19
3. Riccardo Riccò Saunier Duval - Scott + 39
4. Michael Rogers Team Columbia + 46
5. Luis León Sánchez AG2R La Mondiale + 52
6. Andreas Klöden Agritubel + 1'14
7. Mikel Astarloza Euskaltel - Euskadi + 1'20
8. Fränk Schleck Team CSC - Saxo Bank + 1'28
9. Sébastien Joly Française des Jeux + 1'37
10. Christophe Moreau Quick·Step + 1'48 |
