Eh guys. Some of my closest family members had terrible car accident and some of them aren't alive. Just for info, i won't enter this site (neither any other) for a long time. See ya
And this isn't "classic admirs joke" , this is real story
How am I supposed to believe this.
But if it is true, I'm really sorry about that, take your time off, and I hope you can get over sad stuff like this.
I don't think anyone would joke about that, mate...
Terrible news. |

I also dont think that you have to share everything with random strangers in a forum on the internet... As sad as the story may be, but some people are (blindly) giving way too many details about their life away on the internet, and I believe certain information or stories are best kept among people that you actually know...
Not to say that I dont agree that these are terrible news...

I don't know about others here but I consider a lot of you guys friends and if something important happens in my life there's a fair chance that I'm going to tell you guys about it, particularly if it is the sort of thing that will take me away from here for a long time.
My condolences admir, this must be hard for you.

The way I like to think of it is that the more you consider Daily members "strangers", the less personal the info becomes. Sharing a story/event with someone completely unknown/very far away has little real-life implications.

I agree with this, if a family member of mine died I would not necessarily give specifics, but I would announce a personal family matter and that I would not be available for the next few weeks/months.

Plus, it's not exactly a matter to joke about, even for admir.

Sorry to hear that Admir, hopefully those injured will be fine and forever remember those who passed away so sadly. I hate cars and i fear accidents in them a lot, that is also why i dont have the drivers licence ( i also had an accident as teenager with my friend, who died in different accident two years later).
And everyone is different, someone would not even think about coming here to tell us, somebody feels here like among friends and sharing it helps him with shock.

Uhm, this is how situation gone. Someone called me (while being alone at home, playing some PCM) and said my parents had terrible car accident. I thought that he was joking of course, but after few seconds of speaking i realised he is serious. Half of hour after that, i went to hospital with my oldest brother and he said that both my aunt and uncle dead. It was big shock, no information about my parents. After we came in hospital , things turned out to be like this: other couple (2nd car , that made accident died) and all of my family got some serious injuries (f.e dad broken rib...). Luckily, their condition is much better today (thanks God)!!!
I feel really sorry for that couple, but i won't lie - i am happy after all of that. It could've been much worser. Anyway, sorry (and thanks in same time) for you guys, since it took you time to write all of that, and at the end , half of these shit weren't true (i am glad). I am now going to hospital once again.
Btw, i really don't have time to answer miggi133 , since my answers is hidden in CountArachs and Avin's responses to that. I felt like i had to talk that to something so i wrote it here. If that bothers/ed you somehow, i am really sorry.

... and in a situation like that it's often good to say it to make it more real for one self.

I'm glad you feel a little better now, and it's fortunate that your parents are better now.
@Avin: Come on now, I have driver training opened in another tab and it is playing a clip about car crashes! -_-

Indeed. I really feel sorry for other couple and their family, but that's life, what can i say. Thanks again for support guys. And yes, i am back to site now (with less time spent on it in next few days for obvious reason), no reason to go from this beautiful place.

How on Earth did our PCM.Daily Strava cycling club fail to make it on the shortlist of the award for PCM.Daily's initiative of the year ?
I'm so very disappointed now. |

Just a few days left of my well-deserved vacation in my hometown and I finally got a real winter storm! No visibility, I'm being taken right back to my childhood!

It's still a PCMdaily-linked initiative, even if it isnt physically on the PCMdaily website! As well as encouraging activity in the Your Cycling thread. (Besides, the Twitter account made it onto the site-initiative award in the past)
