NetApp-Endura signs David de la Cruz (Caja Rural), José Mendes (LA Aluminios) and Ralf Matzka (Thüringer Energie Team).
So Germany has 5 riders now, Great Britain 4 with 20 in general. Pretty much international.
De la Cruz could really bring in some results if he can repeat his 2012 results.

My personal idea? Only the top 15 riders count. That way teams can carry domestiques and young riders who aren't of quality yet without getting penalized for it. No teams get significant amounts of points from further down than the fifteen spot anyway.
Pretty sure it IS that currently. And if not 15, then a similar number - its certainly not the whole team.
Really? Teams seem to be looking awfully deep then to grab points. Was Sohbani or whatever really have more points then fifteen guys on Lotto? Seems ridiculous. Anyway, the second half of my argument still stands.
he had 300 points which would have place him 20th on the europe rankings rankings but then consider that he would have been 7th on the WT rankings and you see he had a huge number of points 1st in lotto's team Greipel only had 150 points which shows how srewed ujp they are as WT riders can't score in any other category. |

Wait, WT riders can only score in WT races???
Okay, that's it. There is the issue. You can get points from anywhere now. Just make it so that .HC races count for 75% of normal WT races, .1 races for 50%, .2 races for 25%, and GT's and Monuments 150%. Then you've got it solved.
Happy, UCI? |

have a look here you'll see Degenkolb has 500 points this year JTL 480 whereas wiggins has 600 the World tour leader Rogriguez 590 and the of the WT lower the 410

Great signings, and it's good to see Mendes return to the International level.
Oh, and José Gonçalves (Onda Boavista) signs with La Pomme Marseille.

I would guees these points are equally not comparable as WT and CT points in PCM when it comes to handing out licences.
Try nicosix.wordpress.com to get a grasp of how it works (if thaf guy does it right, that is).

I never really looked into this stuff when they announced it, and kind of just assumed the stupidity came from counting every rider, so every team had to go as deep as they could to get points. Now I'm realizing the stupidity really is in how they hand the points out.
The real question. Why doesn't the UCI just pay CQ Ranking and use their rankings, or even just rip them off? Everyone agrees they do the best job of anyone at statistically valuing races, although I still don't agree with them with more points for the Tour than for the Giro and Vuelta. |

I'm not sure if Cav and Boonen would get along too well. They're exact opposites.
Boonen is warm and friendly and great and Cav is... well, we'll see.
+1, Cav is not the biggest team-rider, although I'm a big fan of him.
When Cav's was signing autographs after the end of the ToB he seemed amazingly friendly. I even got a short convo with him.
JTL on the other hand couldn't have cared less, same with a few others (Van Poppel comes to mind)... But i cant say what they are like on a team though
I think Boonen and Cav's will be fine together. The lack of clashing objectives will help. Cav's will be happy to help in GW and MSR if Boonen helps at the TDF. Cav has shown that if he is guaranteed help, he will help (this did not happen at Sky)
If Cav's does go to OPQS i hope they sign another lead-out man. Cause dont they only have Boonen now Ciolek is going? (please correct me)

The CQ rankings is actually based on the old UCI system, but the UCI got rid of it when they created the ProTour: https://www.cqrank.../whats.asp
Shame really, as I give far more value to the CQ system that the UCI one.

Top 12 count, for the record.
And yes, WT riders only count in WT races

José Gonçalves and Antomarchi on LPM? Hell yeah. I'm gonna party just because José Mendes and José Gonçalves are leaving for foreign teams. |

Has ridden bikes for a very short time. Massive potential

LPM merges with Team Bonitas (or at least Bonitas is the new co-sponsor of LPM). This team will recruit young riders mainly from South Africa and France. |

I think that Lander is too young to move to such a big team as BMC are. I mean Rasmus Guldhammer was also a big talent, but when he moved to a UCI Pro Tour team, his develpoment stopped immediately.
