Finally Marcato wins something. I can't think of many riders who would deserve a win more than him. Also a very nice result by the Basque youngster Pello Bilbao.
Tour de Vendée (205 km)
1 | Marco Marcato | ITA | Vacansoleil - DCM | 4h47'33" | 2 | Pello Bilbao | ESP | Euskaltel - Euskadi | | 3 | Maxime Bouet | FRA | Ag2r - La Mondiale | | 4 | Laurent Pichon | FRA | Bretagne - Schuller | | 5 | Guillaume Levarlet | FRA | Saur - Sojasun | | 6 | Anthony Charteau | FRA | Europcar | 04" | 7 | Perrig Quemeneur | FRA | Europcar | 14" | 8 | Evert Verbist | BEL | Verandas Willems - Accent | 23" | 9 | Iñaki Isasi | ESP | Euskaltel - Euskadi | 36" | 10 | Reinier Honig | NED | Landbouwkrediet | 36" |
Read somewhere only 14 riders made it into the final standings. Anyone know why? Is it such a hard race or couldn't they be bothered?
The rest finished outside the time limit. |

Read that to. But 10 riders in 36 seconds, then 4 more inside the time limit.... Was that set a 2 minutes or so? Does anybody know how that's possible, seems strange to me.

Enrico Battaglin won the Coppa Sabatini in an uphill sprint. Rebelin second, D. Moreno third. I've been following him since this season and he's had some nice results before.

Extremely happy for Hayman, after awesome year for him. he at last gets his deserved win
Also Uran thought he won Coppa but he mistook the number of laps to go ; /
“Rigo thought he’d won with a lap to go and he went across the race with his arms up but he put them down in a hurry!

Roche took today's stage in Tour of Beijing, ahead of Deignan and Froome. Those three went clear on the last climb, and just held off the bunch, Froome probably got the same time as the rest of the bunch, Roche and Deignan a couple of seconds ahead of them. |

Tour of Beijing can also create some spectacle:
"Witnesses blame a low-flying TV helicopter for blowing the course signage into Yannick Eijssen"
"BMC Racing Team's Yannick Eijssen suffered facial injuries, including fracture above his teeth" |

How low do you have to fly to make that happen???? Did they try to mow the grass with the rotor? |

Battaglin is incredible.
Trainees don't win races. But he just did. After dominating the italian u-23 scene, now he's doing well immediately in the pros. Heck he's not even a pro yet.
This guy has all the tools to be a big star.
