@chuftek: You may be right about Scarponi
I re-post this last stage's report, just to be on top of a new page

@roturn: Agree. Podium would be great for Duarte.. but I wouldn't expect him to struggle like this in last two mountains though..

Really bad luck. But still a nice result with stage wins and 4th overall + KoM jersey.

Don't worry, I'm sure they're going to disqualify Nibali and Scarponi, their recovery was very suspiscious, then Duarte will finish in the podium! Anyway, you took a jersey, and had stage wins, hope the sponsors like it. |

That was no good People says that the PCM'10 AI destroyes uphill sprints and climbing but I think TT's is the worst problem... I have to play on normal to get an realistic result. For example I lost more than 2 minutes with Van den Broeck on Andy Schleck (both of them has 74 TT) at the Tour in mine Omega Pharma story, playing on extreme.
However, you were very close and you had the lead for a couple of days! It was really fun to see "mine" pink jesey up there! You lost it in the final days but, at least, you won the KoM and you deserves an banana!

Well, certain TT's are extremly easy, certain TT's you just can't do well. Don't know how PCM qualifies them, but anyway for such young rider like Duarte Top 5 in such hard Giro is impressive. Now let's roll on

First of all: Thank you all for the comments and support during this Giro! It's great to have this readers I feel a bit sorry to miss the podium, but Scarponi, Basso and Nibali were too strong in final three stages.. But for you support, I give a banana back to you
@Alakagom: Agree. There's also some easy TT's in PCM.. but unfortunately, this was a difficult one.. and I'm - somehow - bad in TT's, too. But I also agree, that Duarte can still be satisified with his 4th.
@laidbackmarc: Thank you for giving me the banana, although I've missed the podium! And at least I could present your great jerseys in several stages and secure the KoM-shirt
@baia: Thank you very much for your kind words, mate. It's good to see you back here (I might have mentioned it before )! It was indeed one of the most exciting races, I've ever played and I agree, that we should be proud of this performance.
@FreitasPCM: I'm afraid that both Nibali and Scarponi won't get disqualified.. it would be too shocking for the whole world of cycling
@roturn: Thanks! It's a good result, I agree. The KoM-jersey is a nice addition and Duarte's 4th for the second time in a row within a GT (after last year's Vuelta) is definitely not bad Though the podium was in reach.
Here's the list of stage-winners and race-leaders during the Giro 2012:

Here's the summary of Tour of California 2012! I already told you, that I first did not wanted to do any reports of this race (because of the Giro and due to a weak startlist in California), but as the race became interesting (from Dark Dog's point of view) I made some screens and decided to present it to you

You must really like this race. Last year Duarte with a surprising attack on the last stage if I remember right. Now Lander
Also Deignan and Impey pretty strong. |
