Our guys set a relentless pace up the only climb of the day to show everyone else that we mean business, lets hope that this plan doesn't backfire
Six riders have managed to break our stranglehold on the peleton and have escaped up the road, they are Lavery/Node4 Giordana, Forberger/Team NSP Ghost, Pedersen/Christina Watches, Rowsell/Endura Racing, Sztobryn/Bank BGZ and Grenda/Rapha Condor Sharp
Callegarin/Team Type 1 has gone clear over the brow of a small hill
Unfortunately for him though the peleton didn't want him to go clear so soon had him back within there grasp
Just inside the twenty kilometre to go mark, six riders make an attempt to get away
A touch of wheels in the middle of the peleton ruins the chances for lots of riders
Meanwhile at the same time Reihs of Chrisina Watches is trying to slip off the front
But he gets swallowed up before the final five kilometres to go banner
Rodriguez of Team Exergy has managed to open up a small advantage of twelve seconds on the pack, but unfortunately he has Huff of Jelly Belly and Russell Downing of Endura Racing right behind him
But he doesn't have the power to beat Downing to the line and its the Britain who takes the win

USA PRO CYCLING CHALLENGE
Stage 1 - Colorado Springs – ITT – 5.9km
Peter Stetina is the first of the race favourites to finish and puts in a creditable time of 6m 58s
Our first finisher is Joey Rosskopf who will end up the day just 21s off the lead
Robbie Squire of Chipotle First Solar also put in a good ride
As did Peterson of Garmin Sharp
And Connor O'Leary of Bontrager
One of the pre stage favourites carter Jones of Bissell Pro Cycling would miss out by just 9s
But the time of the day came mid way through the stage and was set by Tom Zirbel of Team Optum
But he was pushed all the way by Tejay Van Garderen of BMC
Nathan Brown of Bontrager would finish off the day's podium
