Never.
Now be quiet or I'll post the clip of Scott Steiner being beaten up by a guy in a bumblebee suit who later reveals himself to be.....Scott Steiner

Am I the only one thinking that Gilbert looks like a Riccardo Ricco look-a-like?

That looks almost as good as the 3D models I made for rFactor when I had 3 days experience in modelling.

Cool. As a dedicated track game have you guys found any solution to "blocking" (in multiplayer)?
It is probably impossible, but if you have it would be interesting.

I've not been feeling comfortable for a while with positives riders (make it athletes, more generally) that test positives.
As much as I'm in favour of defending innocents, saying that faults have to be proven fair and square, that any doubt should benefit the accused person in every day's life, I'm feeling the exact opposite when it comes to sport and doping.
Is this schizophrenia threatening me ? Or just a normal reaction because of the abnormally high proportion of cheaters in pro sport (let's not mention the amateurs here) compared to the number of guilty persons among the global population ? |

Can't be bothered to discuss doping issues, so I'll just pretend that I didn't see Aqua's post
After more than a week with no internet at my home, I finally decided to look into the issue. I can accept that it takes a few days for the tele companies to reestablish the servers etc. after a storm, but more than a week? That's too long.
So, I called them. "No issues here," they said. "Are you sure that your modem is turned on?"
I was at work, so couldn't check. But when I got home later that day, it turned out that the guy was right. My modem is hidden behind some DVDs, so I don't actually "see" it on a daily basis. It turns out that the power supply to the modem (or perhaps the modem, don't know yet) somehow "exploded" during the thunderstorm.
I feel a bit stupid now, having been mad at the company for several days - and now knowing that it's a problem at my end rather than at the company's |

You could still blame them for not selling high quality products. |

Heh, yeah. I'm not really sure how it's even possible. I hope it's just the power supply. though. It's a lot cheaper than having to buy another one of their modems. |

Isn`t there any kind of guarantee?
You should ask at least. I am pretty sure that this mustn`t happen in general. |

I'm pretty sure ithat the modem is "loaned" from the internet provider. So basically, we destroyed something that's owned by them, so we (or our insurance) have to pay. However, I'm pretty sure that the insurance excess is higher than the cost of a modem |

This sucks. Here you normally get a internet contract over a specific time spann, 2 years normally, and the modem for free. But then it`s yours and you can keep it even if you change the provider. |

Good to see you back.
How was the Silverstone GP? Although I am not the biggest F1 fan I am interesting how the atmosphere is there. Also the view you have as it`s just a small part of the circuit different to other sports, where you can see everything. |

F1 was awesome. And great atmosphere yes - 122,000 there on race day Ive read. On the Friday for the practice sessions, I had grandstand access so was able to make use of various good vantage points around the circuit. For Saturday and Sunday, I was general admission only - no grandstands then - but Silverstone has quite a few good vantage points for general admission. So for both the race and qualifying I had good views - had to wake up at half 4 on the Sunday though, to get in the queue ahead of the gates opening at 6am - by which time the queue to get in from the campsite was massive - and we got the spot we wanted. Took over 3000 photos over the weekend with my digital SLR, but also got this one with my mobile that I stuck on twitter to show my spot for the race: https://twitpic.com/5nxoxb
And what the photo doesnt show is that there was also a TV screen there, so that, mixed with the board in the middle that showed positions, and using a radio for commentary, plus of course seeing them all come past every lap, made it quite easy to follow the action for the whole race.

I still wonder who he got the certificate not to be mad. But he is only allowed to use that pic because the pasta strainer doesn´t cover his face.
Even the "Spiegel" wrote about that and nearly 17,000 people recommended the article via facebook...

He's getting exposure for caricaturing religions and showing some of their ridiculous aspects, which is more or less the purpose of the Pastafarian religion. |
