How England didn't beat Wales in the first game is beyond me. Wales got very lucky in that game, and it seems to have done them the world of good

You shouldn't base judgements on just the past few matches. Did you think Wilkinson was rubbish in the last world cup? Or in 2003? No.

Wilkinson is by far better than Cipriani. At the moment. In a couple of years, I'd imagine Cipriani could be better, but as SN said, you can't base your judgement on the last few games, where Wilkinson actually hasn't been overly bad, just not up to his usual standards

wilkinson is hardly rubbish but he doesnt seem to have the ability to control a game or the vision that he used to.
cipriani is a very precocious talent; extremely gifted but temperamental
oh and i think wales will do well next year with the best coaching set up in the world |

Have you been watching the same player?
The highest scorer in this year's six nations, 3rd highest point scorer at the 2007 world cup, the highest points scorer in 6 nations rugby (even though he's only 28!), the highest point scorer in World Cups, the first English player to score 1000 test points, the drop goal record holder, the world points scorer record.
So you still think he's rubbish now?

How can you still think he's rubbish when he scored all our points, and was top points scorer in the 6 nations even though he started only 4 games.
Care to explain why Cipriani is better?

I'd agree with some points, but definitely not all.
Wilkinson isn't a great kicker to touch, but he's good enough - plus the centres can also kick.
He can run, he just doesn't do it often - plus fly halfs do not genrally run - they get quick ball to the centres
Decisions? He is one of the world's best. He knows when to play it safe, when to go for the drop goal, and when to pass it on. A perfect fly half.
Place kicking - Wilkinson is the best in the world.
Tackling - Wilkinson has an awful technique, which is why he's always injured, but he doesn't miss tackles.
So yes, I agree Cipriani is good, but Wilkinson is still better. By far.

Against France, 3 games ago. Then two games before that, against Wales - a total of half of all drop goals in the 6 nations.
