The split was caused of the "Bbox-turn."
I think it might be geniously of Garmin, with only 5 riders its much easier to keep a high pace at those technical roads that it actually is......And I think they will gain more than they probably will loose on those kilometres with wide, open roads.
I think this is geniously of Garmin |

Uhm, I know that you only see what you want to see. But what happened was that one of the riders in the middle was very close at crashing, thus letting a gap. It wasn't Cancellara's pace which caused it. |

I was expecting a much faster time for Saxo Bank, 14 sec back of Garmin. I thought that Saxo was going to go out fast and lose it near the end. |

I think all the other big teams took it a bit easier in the early stages after seeing all the troubles others were having.
Caisse went off a bit too quickly - they paid for it a bit at the end. |

Well because Ligget and Sherwen have gotten it into their heads that the best rider to have for the TTT is a big powerful workhorse, and not an actual time-trialist, it means that Astana is dead in the water |

yeah, but thats not the point is it. That happens on a technical course like this. it was Larsson's near crash that caused some problems.

Yes, but it's not due to "what you said earlier". |

yeah, that's the risk they are taking. Shame Tuft wasn't in good form to ride the tour (which he planned to do at the beginning of the year). He would make a big difference.

edit: sorry, double-post.
i hate how versus commentators go back to old videos of White in the Garmin team car. for example, showing him talking to Farrar as he gets dropped, managed to convince the commentators that Pate and Dean had actually chased back on to have 8 riders

Jesus - Garmin wow great performance (now I am beginning to wonder how much time Evans/Menchov are going to lose!) |
