I do however think the 3D model needs some tweaking. There are a few imperfections which causes distortion on some parts of the body, but its obviously so much better than anything previous. Im looking forward to seeing the bike models. I understand its better to detail. Also Im looking forward to seeing the accessories in game play. Its annoying that they released PCMViewer with the helmet missing. I wouldve like to have had a chance to play around with stuff a lot more. Im fairly limited in what I can do in the short term. I've borrowed a friends old PC for a few weeks until I leave the United States. I have my eye on a developers PC in Australia where I can use all the new software Ive purchased in the past few months.
A sideline: I have started a new 3D Visual and Gaming company called VIZLEFX. www.vizlefx.com. I hope to start work on it when I return to Australia at the end of March. I will feature all my new work there for PCM and a few other game ideas I have. At the moment it is a test site for a friends business. Babywear, so dont take it too seriously. It will be pulled down in a week and replaced with a temporary site.

Some new projects which you will see released later this year. new more realistic 3D models of passenger cars, trucks and TDF vehicles. Some things Ive been working on since 2007. Train stations, trains and railway tracks. level X-ings. Huge Airport complex including planes, 747 etc. Container terminals plus ships.
New Buildings, including offices, apartments and single dwellings.
Working on realistic carbon fibre samples to add to bike frames when 2008 is released.
I have drafts of all of these objects. When I return to Australia I will work on and develop these models.

I also hope to add "customised stages" to my list of projects. Users can submit stages from Tours and I will add additional isolated buildings and start/finish sets. |

@Crue,
no, I have a neighbour who works in I.T. He spends a lot of his time in California on business. He's lending me his PC for a few weeks until I leave the US.My wife needs her laptop for work, so there was a little tension because I was using it all the time.

I dislike the helmet shape from the past few PCM versions. Hopefully PCM2008 will allow for better adaptations. |

Guys!! have you ever wanted to be a part of PCM????. Im mean literally....
From Roadies new studio - VIZLEFX.com
I have been working, learning and testing with new software since the end of 2007 and have now perfected a way to change standard photos of just about anyone, into rider peaux and even crowd scenes. Simply supply a clear front and side shot of yourself or a favourite rider and watch it come to life...
Some uses:
Rider peauxs
Crowd
Manager Photos
3d Rider photos with team backdrop
Example: Peaux request from Cyanide Forums

Here are some other examples of what can be generated. I'll be using characters like these in upcoming game development

Well as similar technique that Miya used to change the cycliste_ref and .nif files, I've been able to play around with the current 3D model. Importing .obj into POSER and 3D FaceGen. I can add hair, glasses etc then convert it back to .nif. I'm looking forward to the 3D model in PCM2008. I can now change the head and create any new riders I wish. Just need a fairly good photo. |
