Verus has its moments. Their tour cover is good. But its just an Ad-fest with Bob rolls stupid theories. Eurosport have and Ad break like every 30 mins and its about 45 seconds long. Im not blaming versus for not getting time checks thats the organisers fault.
He's so damn cute with his theories though
Versus is a TV channel, they have money to make, period.
I just enjoy being able to kick back and watch it on a 45 inch screen in hd, but that's just me.

I don't think Rogers can beat Leipheimer in the TT. Leipheimer is probably one of the only riders peaking here, or having arleady a very good condition. Apart from some Americans I think no-one is making this their goal, unlike Levi.
Don't forget that Rogers as an australian shows up in a very good form at the beggining of the season as he's already proved earlier. However it's hard to tell if he can make a real opponent to a peaking Leipheimer... but he's one of the main candidates that's for certain!
Agreed. I don't think we're to underestimate Rogers. If he's back at the form and abilities we've seen a few years ago, he could go and win this.
That said, Leipheimer is, of course, the favourite
Dont ever underestimate Rogers..he is in great shape now...after 2 bad luck year. Ofcorse Levi is favorite (even I would bet for Leipheimer win) but I realy hope that Rogers can do something..to make this expected tour a little more exiting. And I will start again Rogers promo talks when big tours coming..this might be annoying but I realy think he is much better about what we think
It appears that during the Solvang time-trial they will enforce a new rule that would rule essentially all the aero-bars, wheels, and seatposts used by the riders for time-trials illegal.

I suppose if Gesink is Rabo's man for the GC, then they are using Mollema to put Astana under pressure, because he's not far down in the overall. A bit wierd though...

Eurosport programing times are brutal.Tennis (always seems to be tennis) is constantly over-running and breaks are extremely regular. Those Sidi shoes arn't going to flog themselves

You are both being funny.
It's not a game, it's not cycling manager where you think like that and put a rider in the break. Mollema attacked because he wanted to, not because he was ordered to.
Rabobank has told their riders at the beginning of the year they want to be more aggresive. When Rabobank started in cycling back in 1996, the first 6/7 years they were known for their aggresiveness in races, they were seen in many attacks.
However, the last few years, this has greatly diminished, mainly because they now had leaders who can actually win something or finish high up in the biggest races (Freire, Menchov, Boogerd, E.Dekker, T.Dekker, Gesink etc). But that effected their reputation in the Netherlands, as most Dutch people like to see attacks. So, that's why Rabobank has been active in almost any break possible this year, and this Tour of California.
It is by no means a tactical move by Rabobank. It's just Mollema going into the attack, probably hoping to gain back some time in the GC or getting just enough space to fight for stage victory. Nice try, but hopeless since the escape group isn't big enough.
Nothing more then that.
Versus just stopped coverage, anyone with a live link?
