While that may be true, let us compare the best number 1 singles of 1969 to today - 'I heard it throuigh the grapevine', 'honky tonk woman', 'suspicious minds, 'come together'. I can't think of any number 1 singles I like today.
Although I generally agree with you, I just feel that pop music was better around the 60's as compared to now
If we're sticking to pop, it's easy for me to make a comparison: I don't like any made then and I don't like any made now

Well, if we didn't then I couldn't back up my earlier point. I love lots of music from now and lots from before my time but as pop goes i'll take the beatles and the kinks over any lady gaga and katy perry. But still, give me Decemberists, Springsteen, Modest Mouse, Hold Steady, Sufjan Stevens any day and I'll take them over all the pop music you can throw at me.
1/10 Boooring, didn´t bother to listen to the hole song, maybe it got more interesting in the end... But as said early it is not just my kind of music
6/10 Thought it would be crap but it was quite nice actually, although the breakdown was a little dull.

very nice. i do like a bit of slow acoustic music every now and again.
i'm going to go for a classic from possibly my favourite band of all time. and, with the exception of the beatles, possibly the greatest yet under rated bands of all time.
