Late coming to this game like I said above but thoroughly enjoying it, compared to what I was used to with PCM13.
Currently with 2 careers going: Bahrain and Mitchelton. Both on hard.
Bahrain it's just for 1 or 2 seasons just to take the max from Nibali, Pozzo and company. Currently on Basque Country tour. Colbrelli has won so far some cobble classics (Omloop, De Panne and E3) where we played with the numbers advantage(Haussler, Garcia Cortina and so on) but was a bit of a disappointment in other races due to some tactical mistakes and sickness. Still took an honorable 8th in San Remo. Nibali has won UAE tour, a stage at tirreno and took 5th on San Remo. I made a mistake attacking on the descent on Poggio. Should have used him to cover the attacks and then play for the sprint with Colbrelli. Bauhaus has won 3 stages so far (Algarve and 2x Nice). Pozzo won at Oman and took 5th at Catalunya with a very strong field. All in all it's been a nice season so far. Let's see how it goes at GT. Nibali to go for Giro and Vuelta and stage wins/mountain at tdf (colbrelli, Haussler, Caruso and so on).
Mitchelton is another story. My idea is to do a long term save, developing Yates brothers and try to bring Chaves back uo again. Have some nice riders that I plan to use on smaller races like Trentin, Impey, Howson and others. My idea is to bring riders that complement this (Haas, Slagter, Colbrelli, Felline, etc) and develop young Australian riders.
Currently planning first season and will post all the developments here.
Picked a custom team (Aer Lingus) -World DB. Picked only free Irish riders so not great pickings!
Didn't win any overalls but picked up 5 stages including two in the Irish stage race (Rás Tailteann). Kept to my budget and did enough to maintain it next year .
Bringing in Deignan, Errazkin and Vorobyev so should be able to improve on my 131st in Rankings!
Froome won Tour but Roglic beat him in the Vuelta.

@Blueprint: Do the XML regen files interfere with the PCM Lite Pack in any way? I would like to have less progression for young riders but I love the expansion pack too much to go back to vanilla.
They will work well with any pack, unless they make some epic stat deformations in the database. With PCM Lite, this should not be a problem.
Actually, since resistance works a little bit differently now (I made the files when 76 was the absolute maximum that should be given to avoid mass sprints in mountain stages), I will make a small modification to the XML files to deal with that. However, until then, it will still be significantly better than what Cyanide provides you by default
In any case, the XML files only work for newly generated riders. Unfortunately, it's completely ignored for already existing riders in the database, so you can still end up with some overblown monsters. One of my major annoyances with PCM over the years.
What would be max for resistance in PCM 2018 that should be given?
I'm playing a career with Groupama and I'm about to start my third season. Is there any way to control the development team's transfers? I started the game and have a lot of promising riders coming through the dev team (I've signed like 7 of them), but in the past two transfer windows, they've signed a lot of non u23 riders.
Is there a way I can sign u23 riders for the dev team?
