That really is disturbing and sad reading - and exactly why the blood passport (not urine passport!) is a huge step forward. |

The danish cycling site "feltet" says that the director in "British Cycling" has big plans about a british PT team. He wants a british rider to stand on the top of the podium in tdf (just as likely as dane standing there, wait that has already happend ), and the team shall be good enough to be in tdf in 2010. He also said that he has a couple of riders that has the potential to win (Smoothie? ).
he wants to take the succes from the track and mountain bike riders into roadracing.

It's also mentioned in today's edition of Politiken (a serious Danish newspaper). I find it funny that some of the ones who hadn't taken EPO was still tested positive |

Yeah, I read that too and that really seems strange. Don't know if both the A- and the B-test showed up positive?
As Damsgaard says today, the problem is that the minimin limit for getting tested positive is way too high. Of course, you don't want any cases as CrueTrues but as also mentioned in the article, you'll end up with loads of suspicious tests which are in fact positive - like in the Tour 2007 where about 25% of the peloton were tested positive but only as suspicious tests. The only one who stupid enough to get caught by microdosing maybe a liiitle too much was Mayo.
Damsgaard actually compares the limit with a road where the speed limit is maybe 30 k/h. The polices speed measuring devices aren't good enough to measure the speed perfectly correct. Therefore, they put the speed limit to 80 k/h just to be absolutely sure that no one gets caught who hasn't done anything wrong. As you can see, that leaves a lot of room for microdosage of EPO. Moreover, we really don't know how many riders are using Dynepo. |

I think I mentioned this before but Chris Horner will be racing the Cascade Classic in July as opposed to racing the Tour. Joining him is Levi Leipheimer

??
he hasnt been fired, they just wont renew his contract (which is logical, he only rode like 10 days or so for Mitsubishi-Jartazi this season)
He was going to participate in belgian national championship on the road and some preparing races but chose to stay in italy with his daughter.
He won't ride anything anymore for Mitsubish-Jartzai, apart from maybe some very minor races at the end of the season. (kermiskoers, dunno how to say it in english) |

I suspect he won't ride anymore period. Carreer over, talent wasted. What a shame. |
