He's Norwegian. They are - in general - crazy
We say that about danes...no wait, we also say it about Norwegians, my mistake
And the finns it's because they're finnish, and everyone else is "those damned southerners", right?
And then there's Iceland. or as they're know here: "who?"

Anyway, very impressive win by Steegmans, too bad he won't be the team leader thiis year
Give him time. Quickstep is likely to disband at the end of the year. he'll get a good job as leader somewhere

Been looking for a sponsor for over two years and still no luck. Quickstep (the company) agreed to sponsor for one more year (this one), as a favour for all the good years the team has put in for them, but they made it very clear it's the last year.
And if they haven't found a sponsor yet, I don't think they will in the rest of this year.
CA, Gerolsteiner and maybe Cofidis (not sure on the last one) are in the same situation. Last year with the current sponsor and completely unable to find a new one. Rumours were abound that Gerolsteiner had found a new one, but then it all died down. this was about 2 months ago.

I did know about the three other teams, but not Quick Step.
It's not looking good. 4 teams looking to disband. Then again, it might change after the Tour. |

Disco won the Tour and it apparently didn't help (if you choose to think Bruyneel was being honest for once in saying that), so I really don't think anything will change. I can see Gerolsteiner getting a sponsor, since Holczer has been very positive about it, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. I hope they do though. Same with CA and Cofidis
As for Lefévère, he can burn in hell for all I care.

I agree about Lefevere, C.A. and Cofidis.
Rumours were that Gerolsteiner would become SportFive.com or a subsidiary.
Apparently Bruyneel could have continued with an US sponsor, but the whole team (I mean the sportive management) decided to stop every thing. The explanations I read were not very clear, but it wasn't really a sponsoring problem. |

It will be interesting to see what Popovych can do today, but I think the man to look out for is Gesink. I have a feeling that this race will be his "breakthrough", and I guess today is the day where he's going to prove his potential |

Of course Cycling.tv is up. The broadcast starts as soon as the satellite feed does.
Evans will make a terrible domestique -- he's never ridden at the front of a group in his life. |
