Not sure if a few stage-wins will lift you up that high, ste But Thorsen scoring unexpected points is of course nice for you. Has Cav any bigger races left?
Not many he has Paris- Tours, Tour du Faso and Milano- Torino left.
Faso definitely a chance to score big time. Good luck, anyway
I'm gonna need it lol steep learning curve this season and I know what I need to do to improve the team to hopefully bounce straight back.

Now that is more like it. Camargo finally turns up to a race, and valiantly holds on for a decent finish. Txurruka puts in a solid effort and finds himself just '1 second off the top 10. If he has two real good stages on stages 18/19 could 8th place be on the cards?
Interesting stage coming up. Flat, but a long one, GC contenders might contest the sprint win. If a certain Aussie sprinter takes another win there - well, don't think I could stomach that. |

Manarelli with second, he seemed easily the fastest yet again, but we will take that.
You are right tsmoha, fourth is the worst we have finished since stage 14. Thank heavens Txurruka was the penultimate lead-out there, though it may have cost us a stage win, his positioning sees him rise to 9th, now the top 8 seems very reachable, a massive thanks to knockout for his telepathic support! What a battle, the team are really digging deep in the final week.
Some more mountain stages like the previous one please! |

Well I just want Zaini to come away with something here. Its like the break is only ever pulled back if he is a part of it. Nateghi did well for a 4th, but Doi slipping to 8th isn't that great.

1k to go: Stroetinga in 10th position
Finish: 2 minutes behind
Anyway, kudos to Haga

*groan* I don't think these last stages are gonna be good for B3B. Looks to far for either Georgiev or Sarmiento to salvage a good GC position. Doubtfull of another stage win as recovery starts to have a significant impact.

Impressive stage from Rodas and Di Gregorio. The first bouncing back in style from his losses on the flat stage and the latter after his fall here.
Tough day for Dyball tthough. Dropping to 7th ain't cool

And another top 5 result for Bonsucro. And it helps Txurruka to get into that 8th GC spot. Looking at the hard profile of the next stage and today's results he could climb a bit more tomorrow although I fear that the TT will delete most gains shortly after.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

We shall see. I reckon it will be a stinking piece of luck for Txurruka to finisher lower than 8th, he is virtually as good as Doi and Di Gregorio in TTs, some more time on Agudelo would be nice though as he is a danger.
We will take that 5th from Txurruka, don't know why he was setting the pace so often on the final climb though. Camargo shows well with another mid stage attack, if only they would stick. He is up to 18th in GC, some more vital GC points there potentially, fingers crossed he will try again on stage 19.
Another good stage there tsmoha! |

Come on Doi, just hold on to a Top 10. Shimizu you can move up into the Top 10 too if you want
Its looking like no stage wins from the race though, which is disappointing.

Guess he wanted to, but obviously other teams wanted something different
With no hilly stages left, nominating Zaini here wasn't all too lucky, i fear Still two chances for a stage-win though (excluding the TT without spoiler alert here)...

He obviously lost this race in the hilly or partly hilly stages though. Which makes sense in a way. Definitely not a rider made for GC-ambitions, especially for longer stage races

Still a couple of stages to try and get: A third stage win, Fritsch a KoM jersey, Georgiev in the TopGC, Sarmiento anything to make his presence worthy. Any one of those will do, preferably all of them

A great race for us continues, disappointed to see sweeting not make it to the end as I was hoping he could do something on the last few stages |
