With Kessler out...and Mazzolini under suspicion...under the rules...2 offenses for a team is enough to take out Astana out of the tour.
Who knows what other guys they have that could be in trouble.
There's a decent chance Astana is done for the tour. |

Hopefully we can get any dopers out of the way before the tour starts ( I think we will) so whoever wins is the actual winner. These doping issues is why tour organizers need to invite Team Slipstream to the tour. Each rider on the team has to be clean because they are tested 3-4 times a week and that data is compiled, monitored and its all run by an independent organization. If only pro tour teams could have such a program...
but seriously. 2009 or 2010 i think Slipstream will be kickin it on the international level. |

ok first of all Valverde doesnt have a chance at podium, yea he showed himself as a future contendor by his performances at last years vuelta, but also he showed that he is still to young. He doesnt have the expierence to know when to attack n when to wait. Vino will attack ten thousand times like usual and Valverde will respond to the wrong one n will get left behind. like i said Vino will attack alot but with Kloden alongside him he will also be able to train his way up the mountain instead of depending on the breakaway attack to gain time on his rivals. Evans is always quietly there but he wont pulloff anything amazing in the mountians. Kloden will ride as Vino's superdomestique this year (according to Procycling magazine Vino and Kloden have a deal that Kloden will help Vino this year and Vino will help Kloden next year), but if Vino faulters Kloden could easily Podium. Levi is a toss up, depending on his TT...If he has a good TT he should be able to hold on in the mountiains until he has a good day where he could gain some time. Oscar P. will do good but i dont see anything better than 5th for him. Sastre this year wont be coming off a Giro ride being thrown into leadership so he could do great things but I also could see Schleck taking leadership depending how the mountains go. For the Polka Dots im seein Michael Rasmussen again this year but I can see Christophe Moreau giving him a run for his money...He is in great form for this time of year. Im giving green to Hushovd, he hasnt performed that great so far this year so its bout time that he gets goin. McEwen will get his wins but he's getting old so i dont see him gettin the sprint title. Boonen will abandon in the mountains yet again. Friere's back is still too messed up but he could suprise w a stage win. As far as the Best Young Rider, ill give it too Alberto Contador or Thomas Lovkovist. Making up a new catagory ill give best breakaway rider to either the obvious Jens Voigt or Thomas Vockler. Best TT- Dave Zabriskie, or for the prolouge i could see Wiggins taking it, hes gonna be ridin possessed. My sleeper for yellow is gonna have to be Moreau, hes got a good team behind him this year and the mountains are not that horrible, the course reminds me alot of 2000 when he finished 4th. that and AG2R has some sweet kits. Ok and some people will hate me for this but the last prediction ill make is for who will be the doping scadle of this year...half of the Cofidis team...They are the perenial losers along with Bouyges Telecom...Cofidis will need wins and dont have any real talent so how they will need artificial talent to help them win.
Yellow-Vinokourov
2nd-Sastre
3rd-Levi
KOTM-Rasmussen
Sprint-Hushovd
White-Contador
Sleeper-Moreau
TT-Zabriskie
Attacker-Voigt |

the thing is...a lot of people are suspicious of Vinokourov, Klöden and Kashechkin...not to mention of others.

Lol those danm kazaks. There not the best so they have to cheat. tut-tut
Personally i think the Overall winner will be contested by Evans, Manchov and Valverde. Menchov showed that not in form and not in training he can still stay with the likes of evans, kashkin and vinokourov (even when hes doped) and moreu (in form)

I totally disagree. Both fully fit maybe. Now not at all! Menchov has shown that he can hang with the big boys not in shape or form. Rogers has a niggle and a tired team behind him. They will be far apart. If Rogers has a bad day i could see him ending somewhere like 29th

to try and clear this debate up a bit, Menchov will aim for a top 5
and Rogers will want a top 10, but might have to settle for a top 15 |

I agree totally with Addy except that rogers will be getting a top 20 and menchov will be getting a top 5, and then we have The T-Mobile Bummer Boy saying rogers is going to win the thing (sarcasm)
