Really nice, easy to read, flowing text. Also, it's great to see James doing well for himself, this 2nd place can only mean good things! |

Great reporting. 5th and the 3rd longest jump is brilliant for PJ. |

No admir it doesn't really matter.
A decent 6th equal for Martinez.

Today's competition is one of rare held before noon and it's mainly because of time-zones and things. Wind was pretty similar as yesterday and were absolutely optimal and perfect for ski-jumping. Everyone expected quite different results compared to what happened yesterday in Qualifications and that was actually true.
Wind | 1.1 m/s | Time | 11:00 am CET | Snowiness | 0% | Cloudiness | 5% | Precipitation | 5% | Turbidity | 2.5 |
Even despite these perfect conditions, we saw 4 falls today - 3 in first round and only 1 in second. A bit too much for this kind of competition, but all of these guys fell due to bad and slippy plastic covering on landing, so we can only blame organizers. PJ Levre, S. Kursanka, A. Wargunnson and M. Santic were the guys that fell. Luckily, none of them got seriously injured and as this is pre-season competition, it's not a big deal.
However, already in first round, three guys made quite big advantage over others. M. Santic, A. Mujagic and T. Woods were they. Unluckily, just as we said above, young Serb crashed in 2nd round, while two other guys kept great shape in 2nd round too. None of them managed to break the record, but fight for win was really close. Check results below for more info.
Except 3 guys above, rest of favourites did fairly good too. L. Brandstater, M. Oget, J. Smirnov, J. Harden, J. Zoltan, S. Innauer, A. Beckemann all had 2 solid jumps - nothing impressive but not disappointing either.
Flyers and guys who focus more on Normal hills failed today, which was more than expected. It looked like they just had a short blast in qualifications. In fact, two best flyers on paper in DSJ PCMdaily World, I. Suparman and F. Falcon finished on 22nd and 24th position. Brit was the only one that didn't manage to get over 100 meters in both jumps. Quite poor performance even for them. H. K. J. P. Otze, B.E. Bouborn, J. Nikkel, T. Terpstra and other guys that aren't specialised for this type of hills finished in mid-bottom parts.
Youngsters did fairly well too. Some of them impressed, some of them failed a bit, but all in all - pretty good show from them. Two of them crashed and were mentioned above, while guys such as U. Zhukov and R. Kruspe managed to get really solid results as well as most of the youngsters did. Pretty good day for all of them.
At the end, the winner was (as we said above) decided by two guys who clearly were the best and most consistent today with 2 almost identical jumps: A. Mujagic and T. Woods. Woods had national bonus, while Mujagic had the bonus to have the name as organizer of this event. Finally...
...after a great fight, A. Mujagic came as a winner with only 0.4 points in front of his American friend. Lucky, but absolutely deserved win for this non-usual Surinam's jumper. Congrats!

Hope you enjoyed the report and result, bye and see ya soon!

So, a 2nd jump that was on level with the top 5 guys. Not bad Kursanka, not bad. |

Sucks for Santic that he fell, but Mujagic

I like the result. If Brandstätter can constantly finish on these places throughout the season he might be a real contender for the complete classification as he should score greatly on the normal hills, too.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

It's true that this isn't so important, but it can give good overview of what's going to happen in season (which really isn't predictable).
And thanks Fernando! What do you guys think about report? I think that it's quite solid and that it gives a good recap of what happened in the competition, but I'd love to hear some feedback and critics, why not.

If you can keep that level of report up all season long i'd be incredibly impressed. Nice reads, even for someone like me who doesn't care about Ski Jumping

Well, it's really nice to hear that from a native English speaker ("nice read" and a good writer like you. Looks like I seriously improved my writing and English generally.
Thanks, it surely will be fun season!
