Is there a price for most times on the ground? That way Farrar can still win something. |

Garmin riders should take the support car exit before fast finishes from now on.

Yep, sorry, bad quality stream thanks to Eurosport not showing it here. I corrected it. Only saw blue and assumed it was a leadout rider.

Or, as you could say, 5th last from the riders not affected by the crash.

Fair enough, you wouldn't expect Farrar to be that far forward in a sprint anyways |

Meh, dunno, but Bouhanni's celebration comes off quite douchey in the replay.

Normal celebration, but the 'stache doesn't help.

He was 7th on stage 7 as well though.

Well, Evans was 10th today, wasn't he? It's all relative.

Mezgec too stupid to read distance signs.
Wasnt Mezgec, it was Timmer who probably thought he had Veelers and Mezgec on his wheel, would have been a gread lead out. |

I know, but I don't think it's coincidence that Battaglin finished fifth today. It's more a case of good positioning than sprinting though, imo. |

Almost worked out for Team Sky, they need the climb to be harder for them in the end, though it may have been interesting if it was closer to the line too. From what I've saw and heard the likes of Bouhanni did have to do a bit of a scramble to get back on.
Amazing what a stage victory in a Grand Tour with some momentum can do for someone. Still be a tough fight for him to beat Kittel, Cavendish and Greipel in a sprint but it would be interesting to see how it would pan out now he has the wind in his sails.
Don't think I'll get a preview up unfortunately however, the Giro transferred it's weather here and I've gone and copied the riders and gotten ill.

Stage 11 - Collecchio to Savona (249KM)
Unlike today's stage, which was flat for nearly the entire route, it seems unlikely that the stage will end in a mass sprint. The second-longest stage of this Giro leads us from Collecchio to Savona, and on the way the sprinters will find some obstacles to prevent chances for most of them.
As it seems unlikely the sprinters are going to have a chance the next type of riders we look at is the GC-riders. However, with the individual time trial scheduled for tomorrow it's far from likely they are going to try anything.
That leaves us with the fighters. Tomorrow seems like an ideal chance for a fighter to take a stage win. The stage should be decided in a sprint between escapees or a late attack, perhaps on the Naso di Gatto or in the slightly bumpy downhill.
The chance of a late attack from a break seems unlikely though, as the final five kilometers are flat. Unless an escapee with an excellent stamina and power on the flat can hold on on the Nosa di Gatto, a sprint seems to decide the battle of the break.
Favourites
This leaves us with the favourites. Enrico Battaglin shouldn't be underestimated. The young Italian from Bardiani already managed to win a stage last year, in a very hilly stage. By showing himself in a sprint he seems to have enough of both qualities to contest for a win in Savona.
It seems hard to predict a winner when so many riders have a decent chance, but Enrico Gasparotto seems another contender. The Ardennes specialist has a good sprint as well, and the hills can be survived by him as well.
Lars Bak may seem like a surprising name, but the Dane is a real fighter, and strong on the flat. Another rider from Lotto who stands a chance seems Adam Hansen, who is here for his 9th Grand Tour in a row. He may pick up a stage, just like last year.
Yukiya Arashiro is having his second youth this year. After some amazing results in the Basque Country and the Ardennes he hopes to show himself here as well. With a good sprint and an excellent punch there's no denying he's a candidate for tomorrow.
Edvald Boasson Hagen hasn't shown as brilliant results as before, but he grew a lot on climbing. As he has still shown signs of a very decent sprint, it's impossible to rule out the Norwegian as well.
Some other fighters with a chance seem Pieter Weening, who won last sunday, Matteo Rabottini, Stefano Pirazzi, Miguel Rubiano, Nathan Haas, Moreno Moser, Franco Pellizotti and Alexandre Geniez.
*** Enrico Battaglin
** Yukiya Arashiro, Enrico Gasparotto
* Lars Bak, Adam Hansen, Edvald Boasson Hagen
