I didn't know LBL is not national teams, then of course it's hard for Herklotz to have a shot when Stölting is not invited
I guess he will try to improve on his second places in Giro del Belvedere and Palio del Recioto on Monday and Tuesday though

ZLM tour (1.Ncup)
A very tough race in Netherlands, lots of attacks. In the end, the man on form Boudat won the sprint from the break. He's got some form going right now.
Liège - Bastogne - Liège (1.2U)
Few riders will be gutted as a late break made it to the finish. These four attacked with 11km to go and looked at some point about to be caught, but seems organization in the leading group of 10 wasn't enough.
Bit of a surprise winner for sure, will be intresting if it was one off for him or he can show off in other races. Good race by Theuns and the promising Brit.
Benoot will be gutted for sure, I know he made the selection, but missed the attack it looks. Wonder if he won the sprint for 5th, I kinda hope he didn't ( but knowing he has amazing sprint he very likely will win it )as he'll be kicking himself they allowed that group to go.
EDIT: And seeing the results Tiesj will be gutted indeed. Unlucky, but showing his talent further. Most consistent U23 rider this spring!!

And Boudat performs again!
Turgis a bit of a surprise, but not a massive one for me. Very good all rounder, and has a pretty good sprint. Benoot will be disappointed for sure, but still a huge talent.

Well, he sadly couldn't improve his result in Giro del Belvedere, but he equaled it!

Herklotz won today Palio del Recioto coming alone at the finish. Second was Robert Power ( another great talent btw )
Will Herklotz go to a WT or PCT team next year ? |

He has a contract at Stölting for another year, but it looks like they want to promote soon, so he might stay there all the way

Team Stölting wants to become PCT next season.
They are obviously in spoinsor negotiations and hope to have finished those until end of April/May.
There was an interview earlier this year, where the team said something like becoming PCT already in 2015 would be possible and they will try to bring back some of the best Germans to a German team. No names were named but guys like Martin, Kittel, Degenkolb, Greipel etc. were obvious rumours. |

Imagine any of them going down to PCT
Gesckhe, Nerz, Mertens, Wegmann, Burghardt, Arndt, Wagner or Thurau would be reasonable names to try and sign. Obviosuly not all, but few of these would make them a decent PCT squad.
Anyhow, Robert Power is big talent. He's the only one that could kept pace with Luke Durbridge in Oceanian Road Race taking silver. He already has a 3rd place in one Italian classic, this is his another. And at 19, that's well impressive.

Yep. Take Wegmann, Burghardt and Wagner and you have three riders not playing too much of a role in their own team that could win .1 races.

Obviously this was not a goal for 2015.
But in the long term they hope to have some of the best Germans. In longterm I guess also becoming WT might be in their plans.
For 2015 in case they make it to PCT, your names obviously are the correct ones. Add Selig eventually as well.

Another big race, although not specifically for U23, it mostly is. and it has quite a long name
Le Tour de Bretagne Cycliste trophée harmonie Mutuelle
7 stages long. The GC should be decided by puncheurs, with a combination of sprinter and hilly stages.
And one of best startlists you can find for U23 I think. It's packed, to say the least.

Far too many favoruites to mention all. But I'll point some that should feature for sure.
Matija Kvasina will be one of contenders here and is deinifetly not U23 rider ( 32 years of age ) Got 10th in Tour of Austria last year, good rider.
For GC, it's likely names like Koretzky, Spokes,Kirsch, Hirt Benoot, Svendsen, Teuns, Enger. There is also a Colombian team that will surely feature, but don't have time to research them. But to be fair, the GC is wide open. Close to sea, echelons will be present so the race will be split potentially every day even on flat stages. Even a sprinter could possibly win, not too sure how selective the hilly stages are in this years edition.
For sprints, its Ewan, Looij, Benefatto, Skjerping, McLay or Boudat that should feature often.

Oh, that's cool. I love that race in PCM
I think Teunissen is more likely to be expected than Looij, though admitted, Looij is on form. Also, Lindeman has a chance here, I suppose, especially with echelons.

Should be interesting, with the penultimate stage ending in Talensac, up a ~500 m wall. There'll be gaps, no matter how it ends (breakaway or bunch sprint).
Lots of familiar roads for me, and lots of familiar names as well, especially in local teams.
The lack of TT should make it a relatively close business for the GC. Looking forward to it.
Now, after a closer look at the route : it could have been more difficult, especially in terms of total ascent. The race doesn't really go in the hilliest places of the region (Finistère (West) from middle to North, very centre around Mur-de-Bretagne, and around Saint-Brieuc).

What a stuffed startlist. Looking forward to how Etixx will do, with Hirt and Hnik as main weapons.

Boudat and Teunissen impress on Stage 1, with an uphill finish after a hilly circuit (I think from the race website). Ewan not racing it seems.

Willwohl more and more develops into a nice rider I think. He has a good potential to become a good rider in future I think.
Give him 2-3 years on U23/CT level and he could make the jump to PCT/WT with 22/23 I think.
