That was a really positive Tour, unfortunately, Andy's old nemesis stroke back to take the win. |

Chapeau Andy!
While ultimately the adoring masses would have rather you won the race for you second after such hard times must be worth more then the Malliot Jaune. In your peak years still and with Contador arguably the wrong side of 30 you still have time to reach your peak and win Le Tour.
----------------------------
Ian, how does it feel to be bowing out with such celebrations setup for you by the race organizers on the (PCM) Champs-Élysées? |

Feels pretty great thanks
You're definitely right, there, though. If he stays on the right side of the track now, he could have the Tour of 2014 in the pocket! Maybe I'll return one day and get him that Tour win after all
Thanks to everyone for following/commenting! It was great! |

BREAKING NEWS
After standing on the podium in Paris wearing the famous "Malliot Jaune", Spaniard Alberto Contador, as well as all of the other riders in this year's Tour de France went to take a mandatory drug test. Contador was found to have tested positive for EPO and has immediately been stripped of his Yellow Jersey. This means that for the second time in 4 years, a positive test from Contador means that the win will go to second placed Andy Schleck, who also won the polka-dot jersey in this year's Tour for the most mountain points. More in the 5 o'clock news and congratulations Andy!

Great tour from Andy, considering where he came from!
Nice that he could grab the KoM jersey on his way.
@Ian Enjoy your retirement/break(probably the latter :P)

That's easy: this was not your story. If you want to create story, twists, do that in your own story. And don't ruin another guys story with your post.

Just read through this, absolutely fantastic. I liked the way you not only focused on the race and what happened, but also on Andy, his feelings and what he thought during the race.
Well done, and I hope that you one day will write another story..! |
