Mind you, it's a very retarded move by Focus. Download links should ALWAYS be given out far in advance. Usually a week. Then when the game is released, e-mail just the codes
What's going to happen is everyone is going to try to download at the same time. No one will get any speed. Focus will have to deal with three billion support tickets yelling "MY DOWNLOAD IS SLOW FIX YOUR SERVER"
It's network admin 101 ffs
So very very true.
It's now 1.30am CET and I don't have my promised download links. I pre-purchased as soon as the game was announced. I was hoping to start the dl before going to bed. But its far more important that the game is worth the wait. And from all the comments here, it seems as though it is. So if I have to wait another few days even... so beit. However this could have all been easily avoided by giving the dl links beforehand and releasing the codes now.
Well I guess I have a day or two to get all my work done |

"You have pre-ordered with us and will thus receive your download links and activation key by email from 20/06/2013 12:01 AM British Time"
I bet someone in Focus screwed up with the date. They have a tradition of releasing things on a Friday after all. Maybe the dl links will only be released in another 24 hrs.... hope I'm wrong. Of course it does say "from" and not "at" so that could mean anytime after 12:01 AM British Time. Which was almost an hour ago by my estimate.
The focus shop still doesn't have the game available for immediate download. It still says "pre-order" |

I don't think the people of Focus/Cyanide are working at 2 o'clock in the night.

It should be an automated system, or then why set this as the release time?

Well, they are French, so they probably gave up. Or they were on a strike when they were trying to install the automated system and forgot about it.

Good news for you Ian that you managed to get it early! I remember when my gameshop called me and said they had Battlefield 3 a day before release
Either way, since people can play it already, tonight's live stream will probably be less significant. We haven't got anything really structured organized so it will probably be us playing and showing stuff upon request.
Thanks to Ian there is no point to the Live Stream... thanks Ian
I hate it when stores release the game early. There is release day, fucking use it! I saw PCM13 in my local store today aswell, for
My respect for you just skyrocketed. Even if you are on a constant man period.

Which is why they have an office in Canada...and why I applied for a job there.

Better than PCM12, but still worried that this feature is in the hands of stage makers
By default it is set to the automatic Cyanide mode. But stage makers can now overwrite it. *evil laugh*
This makes me so happy.

Montreal. They opened it there as a development & programming studio in 2008.
