Armstrong on doping?
"Here you see my yellow jerseys. The USADA asked them back, but I didn't reply, it's a witch hunt, ask my facebook friends. The USADA is probably financed by some rich europeans. Once I wanted to spend some money so they can bust cheating dopers, but they rejected. That says everything, doesn't it?"
"Yes, I won the Tour seven times. How? By hard training. And of course, by cycling faster than everyone else. There's no doping in cycling, it's a clean sport and it has always been. Only the doping investigators say there is doping, but they would be workless if they would confess all doping investigations are actually witchhunts by crappy uropins and their american counterparts."
"Why my former team mates should accuse me? Well, that's obvious, isn't it? If a rank-46 rider accuses the winner of doping, and he pays enough money, the winner will be called doper and this guy gets ranked 44th." |

Unless he's accusing LeMond and former teammates and his direct competitors

If only that was true Lance
And why would you pay USADA to beat doping if it doesn't happen?... |

Moving away from the ongoing Lance scandal...
Katusha look set to get a Temporary ProConti license so that the team, including Rodriguez, can ride the Tour de San Luis.
RusVelo confirmed ProConti
and the official word is that if Katusha do get their WT place back, then the lowest ranked team will be demoted back to ProConti.
However whether this is lowest ranked at time of change, or lowest from last season, is not clear.

Lance will appear on Oprah. Incredible.
Why Oprah?
He's just going to dance around the questions and not admit to wrongdoing.
Maybe next week she can book Roger Clemens. |

News from the Katusha-case: Now they apply for a temporary Pro Conti license, so Rodriguez can ride the Tour de San Luis... I'm sure all he wants to do is race in Argentina...
I'm not sure about the rules here, but could Purito still change teams (activate his release clause) after he raced attended a race with Katusha?
Meanwhile RusVelo got their Pro Conti license. |

Yep, you can ride for two teams in the same year no problem

I don't know whether the horrible maths or the horrible logic is worse...

That should be Saxo Bank either way, so it's either Purito or Contador in WT if he stays until then.

Hilaire van der Schueren about VCD's sprinter Kris Boeckmans: "I think he could potentially win Milan San Remo, and within several years will have the ability to win the Green jersey in the Tour de France." |

Every mother thinks her own children are the most beautiful
Boeckmans have never shown nowhere near the potential for those achievements. A stage win in Ster-Elektrotoer? WOW!

With sprinters it's different and a lot about confidence. Greipel for years had the best lab results among sprinters but couldn't win anything other than at crap races like the tour of denmark.
Then he got a big win in Australia and the floodgates opened...

Think whatever you wish, but you shouldn't disregard Hilaire's words. Who knows, they might come true some day.

Boeckmans showed in last year's Tour that on hill finishes he does well, if I remember correctly. So, who knows? |

He'll be 26 this year... might be difficult for him to develop that much, but we'll see. |

Good luck in beating Sagan and Degenkolb for that titles in the future Boeckmans, you will need a shitload of luck to just hold on their slipstreams (and maybe a motorbike too).

Lol, Sagan had a grilling party with his teammates and apparently he convinced some Anaheim police officer to fake arrest him, just for the lulz and so he can post it on twitter.
