hopefully this afternoon Birmingham City will have returned to the premier division for 1 year at least.
what does everyone think of the championship this year? personally i think the only reason wolves and birmingham have gone up (well hopefully by this afternoon), is because everyone else was even worse then they were.
Birmingham have been terrible this season and will need to invest a good 10-15 million in every department just to stay up.
but then again, everyone said WBA, Staoke and Hull would all go straight back down but it looks like only WBA will go. |

Even at 2-0 Man United coming back to win was so foreseeable. Tottenham really shouldn't have sat back and waited for the reply after halftime. This is probably the match which confirms that yet again Liverpool will have to 'wait until next year' to win the league. As if that will ever actually happen... |

This year was perfect for Liverpool to take the title but somehow they will miss it. All those games without winning with small teams when we were the leaders and United was really behind are the moment where Liverpool lost it.

Exactly. It's annoying because you would think that just two losses would be enough for Liverpool to be at the top of the league right now, but there have been too many draws, notably against Stoke twice and at home to Hull. As for the only two losses, there isn't much that could have been done really. Against Tottenham Liverpool were extremely unlucky, and Middlesborough was just one of those off-days. The problem has actually mainly been finishing off teams at home. |

Manchester United-Manchester City
Wigan-Manchester United
Manchester United-Arsenal
Hull-Manchester United
Liverpool-Newcastle
West Ham-Liverpool
West Bromwich-Liverpool
Liverpool-Tottenham
Liverpool has a quite easy program. The only problem is that United's is just as easy except for Arsenal - but they can 'afford' losing that match. |

Sami Hyypia's decade of service to Liverpool will end in the summer, he's agreed a 2 year deal with Bayer Leverkusen.
One of our greatest signings IMO, often overlooked which is a pity |

Hyypia was indeed a fantastic signing and has been a vital player for Liverpool over the years. It's sad to see him go of course, but not surpising.
I'm not sure how Alonso's doing after being stretchered off yesterday, but hopefully he'll be able to play in the final three league games. Without a doubt he has been one of our best players this season |
