Hopefully a team change will allow Dombrowski to finally get that Grand Tour victory!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! And also for the earlier appreciation of Kruijswijk. Totally agree; top class rider.
After adding Tim Dees for more TT support and Ondrej Cink for more mountain support we can now present the lineup we will most likely enter the 2022 season with. But we're still open to swaps, so let me know if you're interested in one of these riders.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Joseph Dombrowski | 70 | 84 | 75 | 71 | 80 | 78 | 78 | 55 | 60 | 75 | 67 | 72 | 71 | 31 | | Alexey Lutsenko | 69 | 73 | 83 | 68 | 76 | 73 | 70 | 54 | 72 | 81 | 69 | 70 | 68 | 30 | | Mike Teunissen | 76 | 61 | 67 | 65 | 77 | 73 | 70 | 81 | 67 | 69 | 71 | 79 | 64 | 30 | | Denys Karnulin | 69 | 78 | 74 | 70 | 76 | 75 | 77 | 58 | 60 | 70 | 54 | 73 | 70 | 32 | | Kamil Malecki | 73 | 73 | 76 | 70 | 71 | 75 | 72 | 73 | 71 | 76 | 70 | 72 | 71 | 26 | | Nicola Bagioli | 70 | 71 | 77 | 64 | 76 | 72 | 72 | 60 | 69 | 76 | 76 | 66 | 65 | 27 | | Julien Bernard | 72 | 76 | 75 | 66 | 72 | 73 | 71 | 61 | 69 | 73 | 75 | 67 | 64 | 30 | | Marc Potts | 74 | 62 | 74 | 66 | 74 | 75 | 69 | 76 | 68 | 71 | 71 | 70 | 67 | 31 | | Anatoliy Sosnitskiy | 70 | 78 | 72 | 64 | 73 | 77 | 68 | 56 | 63 | 73 | 66 | 77 | 64 | 32 | | Louis Vervaeke | 73 | 76 | 73 | 70 | 76 | 77 | 78 | 56 | 60 | 69 | 58 | 69 | 70 | 29 | | Frederico Figueiredo | 73 | 76 | 73 | 72 | 77 | 75 | 77 | 55 | 59 | 68 | 67 | 69 | 72 | 31 | | Dorian Godon | 74 | 69 | 75 | 68 | 75 | 77 | 71 | 70 | 70 | 73 | 66 | 68 | 72 | 26 | | Nans Peters | 73 | 74 | 76 | 68 | 72 | 76 | 72 | 66 | 65 | 69 | 73 | 69 | 69 | 28 | | Patrick Konrad | 72 | 75 | 76 | 71 | 76 | 73 | 72 | 53 | 62 | 69 | 69 | 58 | 71 | 31 | | Jan Tratnik | 71 | 73 | 77 | 62 | 74 | 75 | 70 | 62 | 61 | 70 | 71 | 65 | 62 | 32 | | Moreno Hofland | 69 | 68 | 76 | 66 | 76 | 72 | 70 | 62 | 68 | 72 | 75 | 68 | 66 | 31 | | Ondrej Cink | 69 | 75 | 72 | 68 | 68 | 71 | 73 | 67 | 61 | 72 | 72 | 82 | 71 | 32 | | Jonel Carcueva | 69 | 75 | 74 | 64 | 71 | 71 | 71 | 60 | 64 | 71 | 73 | 69 | 65 | 27 | | Ildar Arslanov | 67 | 74 | 70 | 71 | 74 | 75 | 74 | 53 | 61 | 66 | 62 | 68 | 72 | 28 | | Andreas Leknessund | 72 | 73 | 71 | 74 | 74 | 78 | 73 | 69 | 65 | 68 | 74 | 69 | 74 | 23 | | Tim Dees | 69 | 73 | 70 | 75 | 71 | 73 | 67 | 52 | 58 | 61 | 64 | 60 | 74 | 34 | | Benedikt Mundle | 79 | 59 | 65 | 55 | 69 | 73 | 67 | 62 | 59 | 69 | 80 | 72 | 55 | 31 |

Depth is still sensational! Looking forward to see Dombrowski lead the line for you, while you've got lots of riders who can be aggressive and be successful when the stages and races get though.
Lutsenko is definitely an upgrade over Formolo on the hills. He should be well covered with all the great depth and domestiques too, surely setting him up nicely for success in many races. |

As always love the look of your squad, brilliant depth, just great squadbuilding work. And then to have such blockbuster big two coming in... smell another good season on the horizon for Gazelle

Welcome to Gazelle
We have most likely concluded our transfer season, so it's time to announce to the world what we've been up to. First the acquisitions.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Giovanni Aleotti | 73 | 72 | 75 | 72 | 76 | 75 | 73 | 62 | 65 | 74 | 69 | 70 | 71 | 24 | | Maxed | 74 | 74 | 76 | 74 | 78 | 77 | 75 | 62 | 65 | 75 | 69 | 70 | 73 | 25 |
Gazelle management is absolutely delighted to welcome youngster Giovanni Aleotti to the team. We see great potential to turn this Italian powerhouse into the new Tanel Kangert. His versatile skillset will allow him to score points in a wide variety of races. Together with Malecki and Leknessund, Giovanni is expected to be part of the core that carries the team into the future.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Bartosz Warchol | 70 | 80 | 74 | 67 | 76 | 77 | 73 | 59 | 61 | 70 | 66 | 68 | 67 | 31 |
For years we've had a top climber lead the team in one GT and focused on breakaways in the other two. In recent times this breakaway-heavy approach stopped working and signing Warchol is our answer. Bartosz has a generous amount of race days for a rider with his climbing ability so he can lead the team whenever Dombrowski is not present.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Sebastian Lander | 77 | 55 | 69 | 59 | 77 | 72 | 79 | 73 | 79 | 77 | 63 | 59 | 59 | 32 |
In our search for extra cobble support we stumbled upon Sebastian Lander and immediately liked what he can bring to the team. Sitting behind this guy Teunissen will never have to worry about missing a split. And later on Lander can win the sprint against any group he manages to hang on to. As cherry on top the Danish veteran also gives us a chance to actually compete in the handful of sprint races we ride this year. Signing a track sprinter would be against our values, but Sebastian Lander is certainly something else.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Manuel Senni | 71 | 77 | 73 | 74 | 76 | 79 | 76 | 59 | 66 | 72 | 66 | 73 | 74 | 31 |
Manuel Senni is a solid stage-racer who will fulfill a double role of elite domestique and sneakily raking in points himself. An Italian with 76 Stamina and 79 Resistance: this man has grinta.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | Age | | Andreas Hofer | 73 | 58 | 65 | 78 | 74 | 72 | 68 | 55 | 63 | 68 | 75 | 64 | 78 | 32 |
Our TTT power has been waning for years and we could use an impulse in that regard. Austrian national TT champion Andreas Hofer certainly qualifies. Together with developing youngster Andreas Leknessund he'll be our engine this season.
Departures
Sadly this means we also say farewell to a number of riders: Nicola Bagioli, Marc Potts, Frederico Figueiredo, Jan Tratnik, Moreno Hofland, Ondrej Cink, Ildar Arslanov and Tim Dees. Many of them have been with Gazelle for a relatively short time, but there are two riders that I want to highlight.
Moreno Hofland was the last remaining rider we signed in our first year: 2013. Back then he was a raw talent and he spent 2013 and 2014 polishing his skills on loan at Vesuvio. He came back as the perfect domestique for pure hilly races. Moreno has always been modest in his wage demands, but actually managed to score a surprising amount of points some years. Highlight was our first season in PT (2016), where he made the Gazelle Key Rider list by scoring 336 points on 50k. 7th in Giro di Lombardia is no small feat if you earn the minimum wage. End of an era!
Jan Tratnik was signed as a talent in 2014 and developed into a strong puncheur with relatively good climbing ability. He has always been a huge help to our leaders, but his personal peak came in 2017 and 2018 where he made the Key Riders list both years by seriously outscoring domestique expectations.

A big fan of the Aleotti addition, really cool rider
Looks like you have all the bases covered so you should be in for a very strong season.

Agree with red, Aleotti is a very nice signing. Lander also really fits in well in the double role you mentioned, covering that sprinter niche nicely. I also enjoy how diverse your team is with 13 different nations. I think you're in for a really good season!

red - Thanks! Hope you are right. I do think the team is stronger than last season.
cunego - Thank you! Those two are my favorites as well. And yeah, we're definitely more interested in signing certain types of riders than certain nationalities.

I must admit that i hadnt noticed Aleotti too much yet but those maxed stats look super interesting. Overall, the roster looks once again stacked from top to bottom and typically Gazelle-esque. Definitely one of the stronger teams around!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Aleotti and Senni were two of the riders I was most sad to miss out on this transfers, but unfortunately I couldn't put together a deal that worked for Ollfardh - I think I lacked a rider with the right wages - so very interested to see how they get on!
I had the same plan in mind for Aleotti, reminds me a lot of the likes of Kangert and Bibby in the past, so perfect for the way your team is built. Expecting you to be one of the favourites, if not the favourite, for the PT title this season. |

Brilliant team depth whenever the road rises! Must say I still like the look of your team, with not that many changes. You’ll definitely look to rebuild in the near future seeing the ages of your top riders.
Normally I’d say you have a great rider to build on with Leknessund, but obviously I’ll come knocking next year too, hopefully the door is ever so slightly more open for a deal then |

Seems like the team has only gotten stronger during transfer season I can imagine it's not easy to say goodbye to both Hofland and Tratnik, but life at the highest level requires the making of some tough decisions from time to time. Best of luck during this season

Despite the decline of your two ukraineans, it's definately an upgrade to add Senni and Warchol. Pretty amazing setup tbh!
