[I'm going to be taking a bit of a break, Works a bit mad at the moment. Might stick the odd update on (As I like keeping a note for my own benefit) but won't be in as much detail).
New signings for 2014 though:
Bob Jungels
Diego Ulissi
Taylor Phinney
Charles Prendergast (replacement for buying out the contract of LL Sanchez)
... and my favourite .... Thibaut Pinot!
Arise, Sir Wiggo of Kilburn

Jesleyh
Those are some great signings Wink

Got a bit of a soft spot for the Halfords tour so Yorkshire Tea are racing it this year. Next year will probably be up to the Development Squad.

I couldn't get the details of the points system used, so used the F1 points system as that skews towards podium places.

Reserved for 2013 season summary
We have obtained enough points to be promoted into the Worldtour. Therefore we have achieved one of our goals in that we will be in the Tour de Yorkshire in 2014.
Now we just have to win a stage there.

The 2013 season was successful, Ben Swift won our first World tour stage in the Tour of Poland. We probably entered into too many races especially near the end of the season and our riders are shattered. But it ensured we got the number of points we wanted.

We have brought in a few talented youngsters, if we combine this with the Yorkshire riders coming through we should go from strength to strength. As part of this we have built a development squad.

The development squad will concentrate on UK races although it may take part in some in Europe too. In order to assist with the long term planning of sponsor, we have gone searching for a sponsor in an country new to cycling. I used the logic that it should be a big country with big companies with no current tradtion of cycling. I looked around the current procontinental teams and noted one large gap: India!!!

Therefore we have signed a development contract with Indian Cycling and Tata consulting. We will take on development squads into both the Male and Female teams. Yorkshire will get access to the Indian training facilities (in the Himalayas for example), India will see it's riders gain experience in European racing conditions. All three teams will therefore take part is an many Asian races as possible in addition to their normal calendar.

[The plan will be to play the Male Development squad when the DB comes out, the Worldtour squad will be played in 2014. The womens squad will be played if I get a database. I think it's about the right size but will change it if the database has the female teams as bigger.

2014 Development team

The plan is to bring through neo pros to the main team. They will focus on the British calendar although we will do exceptional races outside of the UK too,
Our focus will be training a sprint train, Cobblestone classics and developing Puncheurs. With the team being in the UK, it will also represent Yorkshire on the track.

Riders/Coaches:
1: David Clarke (GBR)
2: Ben Day (AUS)
3: Dean Downing (YOR)

Riders:
1: Jonathan Bellis (GBR)
2: Graham Briggs (YOR)

14: Simon Yates (GBR - Neo Pro)
15: Charles Prenderghast(IRL) *

Indian Development squad [I have assumed the Indian riders will be Climbers/Punchuers. I've used China as the template]

1: Lall Singh (India)
2: Naoomal Jeoomal (India)
3: Jahangir Khan (India)
4: Janardan Navle (India)

Charles Prenderghast will be included in this team if Luis Leon Snachez is released by the worldtour team. This will be based on what the real life Belkin tam do with him.
