Watch out for Ruijgh and Lindeman, they could win a stage.
And of course De Gendt for top 5

Just going for stage wins then
If that. Not many winners in that team. I wonder what Weening could have done if he hadn't already ridden the Tour. I think hif he had've aimed for the Vuelta he could have been good for a few strong stage results in the mountains at least.

I will look like ignorant, but who the heck is Lindeman and how he could win a stage?

A young Dutch rider who was incredibly strong in the Dutch NC's.

TBH, that is a pretty weak team. Orica is one of the weakest teams in the PT without Goss and, in part, Gerrans. |

Lindeman was pretty much the only one who could almost keep up with Terpstra, who soloed to the line like Boonen in Roubaix. Lindeman litterally seems to have 9 lives like a cat, every time you think he cracks he somehow manages to hang on and surprise you in the end.
Also, Keizer to get into at least 10 breaks during the Vuelta
In more seriousness though, I think their dark horse will be Lagutin. He's been riding really solid all year and with his performance at the Olympics, he might pull something off if he's allowed to leave TDG.

So we will see him at the Tour next year then? Or will he stage an Armstrong-style comeback?

Gabriel Rasch finished 4th in the Oslo Grand Prix yesterday, he seemed to easily hang on to Edvald, Cav and the Tourminator. He seemed to be enjoying himself and easily closed gaps Goss had trouble with.
I hope he'll be getting a free role in the Vuelta, going into breakaways, because when he's in top form he can blow breaks apart on the flats.
Also a Norwegian amateur, Phan Åge Haugård, who set the Norwegian record on 10 km TT at 18, beat Cav in one of the intermediate sprints. Cav wasn't half sprinting at all, he seemed to really be going for it and he was far from happy after it. He easily hung on to the front group before having a mechanical later. Hope he gets the chance at a WT team as he seems to have a decent future. |

Isn't that a Post Tour Crit though? If so, then it's less surprising. |

The racing seemed more serious this year than before. The pace was higher, all riders were fighting to close gaps, etc. |

I'm sorry to break your illusions, but all post-tour criteriums are fixed.
Before the race the riders are given a piece of paper telling them which order to finish in, and then they go out and put on a show by attacking, pretending like they can't close the gaps, then closing them, etc etc.
That's how climbers, sprinters, and every other type of rider, magically competes on equal footing in those things

So thats the secret behind winning the tour... You basically just have to have a dinminished lung capacity and bäääm, youll fly up those mountains in no time...
TBH, these pictures make his Tour win all that more suspicious...

Apparently he has long enjoyed a smoke, but only when he's not in the middle of a racing schedule. |

So, if Balotteli was a cyclist, he would have won the Tour. |

Suppose this is what comes with his new found fame, paparazzi following him about all over the place taking snaps of him doing things like this. |
