It IS a difficult game to get into, even if SI has done a lot to the UI these last versions.
My advice would be to take your time. try not to be ito scared of all the information your getting and just try and play it. It really is, by far, the best simulation of being a manager available!
but its not for everybody!
Manager of Protour champions 2008, Carlsberg Cycling!! (wow is it that long ago I was in the management game?)

Can I just ask a question - does everyone have fairly waits between each day, or is it just my computer?
I normally have anything over 30 seconds every time I click continue.
Which is annoying

I will now post a FM07 moment that just happened:
France just won the European Championship in 2008. In response, the managers of England, Germany, Italy, Holland and Spain gets fired at the same time. Also, the manager of Portugal quits voluntarily.

Let me guess....before Van Basten said they'd definitely win and afterwards he said he never expected to win because the team is too inexperienced?
Now how did I guess that? oh, that's right, he does that every game ops:

I think my game is broken. Manager gets hired, and then fired on the same day.

If it's an English manager, then no, your game is not broken. That's just how long they last nowadays

lol I just managed to go under my salary budget with my Santander game after acquiring Franco Di Santo transferfree from Chelsea, but then my GK Coltorti decides to whine for a new contract, I give him a new contract and then his backup Alvbage immediatly wants a new one as well causing me to go over the budget argh

The most annoying thing for me is the GK for the opposition always has the game of his life when I play against them :x:x:x

Maybe i should do the sane thing and get FM08. Ive always procrastinated getting the latest the FM/CM for several months due the old classic saying of "the previous one is still being a lot, besides, its practically the same game"

Thats what I say! I actually gave in relatively early this year, and bought the game in January Sales: Its actually worth the purchase, rest assured its a much better game. Particularly if you like international management, like me! Its so much more detailed!
