4 years overdue..
Philippe Maertens, spokesman for RSNT reportedly said prior to TdF start this morning "We trust Frank. It would just be stupid of him to take a substance that is so easy to detect."
Fuck logic! |

This is no surprise BTW, Schleck has always been suspicious. Schleck was riding for Bjarne, he have two peaks every season: ardennes and the Tour etc...
This is called season-planning, no?

Schleck is claiming that he was poisoned, according to Ligget, who said he said that earlier today.

Or good, depending on how you look at it. I mean in all senses for me, 2007 was better. More riders were caught, the sport is being cleaned up slightly, and the actual race was 10x better.

I wouldn't be surprise if they turn up on Andy Schleck's door step and perform an out of competition test on him now, afterall you can't separate the brothers
I was shocked when I heard in work last night, but he should accept any punishment and return to the sport after a ban if imposed on him.

Contador even had a better case since you in theory CAN consume Clenbuterol through food..
Xipmide can't get into your body this way.. |

And with that excuse he gets 2 full years to focus entirely on fabricating a better excuse for the next time he gets caught! This is as ridicoulous as Contadors case... Maybe even more...

The next time ? His case won't be decided by CAS until 2014 anyways, so he has plenty of time to cook up a more solid story. Meanwhile we'll probably see him in the Tour next year |

What I don't get in his case, is how a non-forbidden substance can lead to a positive test (positive A-sample at least) ?!

I thought it was a forbidden substance. Just not classified as performance enhancing but as a masking agent for doping. Still forbidden though. It is forbidden to take certain substances as they only use of them would be if you tried to hide your use of a performance enhancing product. |

All kinds of diureticas, including Xipamid, are forbidden. Some of the precise products are mentioned specifically in the WADA code, but that doesn't make the non-listed legal to use. |

A diuretic provides a means of forced diuresis which elevates the rate of urination. There are several categories of diuretics. All diuretics increase the excretion of water from bodies, although each class does so in a distinct way.
Or as Sean Kelly said on Eurosport yesterday ''It can also be used as a masking agent for other drugs in the bodies system'' Mmmm |
