Some training only probably, he is even not sure if he will start the race, it is only an option. Maybe he would suck there, being long off terrain. Peraud is another story, he will do good i think.

That's strange, I could have sworn I read somewhere form Alakagom is not mistken, that Jack Bobridge couldn't ride the Olympics TT because he was riding track, and was not allowed two events. 
The point with Bobridge is more that the schedule makes it pretty much impossible. The TT is on August 1st. First round of the Team Pursuit is August 2nd.
But we do have an Olympic thread for this

Valverde lost tons of time. He should just quit and prepare for the Vuelta.
Also, LOL Cobo. At least Valverde has the excuse of crashes and coming back from suspension. But Cobo? When Costa is outperforming you, you suck as a team leader.
EDIT: Also, cool stage judging from the highlights
Funny that Hagen went, then Greipel went, then Sagan went....and even when Sagan went it turned out to be too soon and he faded!
Guess the finish was harder than expected. Or the last climb sapped the legs too much.

Was what he before the stage? 18th at 20'40 down? Naah, doesn't matter for Valverde. Tomorrow suits him perfectly in a break. |

Cobo was doing better than Costa and Valverde in the last mountainstage tho....
Almost 90% of cobo's time lost has been in the first week

Too bad I never mentioned anything about mountains. Also, since you mention mountain stages, he lost time to both Valverde and Costa in 2 of 3 stages.

Well, to bad for you issoisso, but Cobo isn`t, and has never been the designated leader for Movistar in the Tour De France. He is building to be in top shape for the Vuelta, and his form is actually coming along nicely as we saw in the stage to "La Toussuire" as ruben brilliantly said.

Well obviously, things have changed since January! I have read several interviews with Cobo where he states the Vuelta is his top goal.
I am also quite sure he knows he can`t go 100% in the tour and expect to beat Contador in the Vuelta(not that he can anyway) |
